CHECK OUT the MUSIC VIDEO for my new single “City Under Siege!” This turned out great thanks to all my friends bringing ABSOLUTE raging 🔥🔥🔥🔥to this track!

@mopockit KILLED IT on the drums, bringing such a foundation with the groove, making it funky, and nailing all the crazy bits I threw at him!

@chambomusic Took this keyboard riff I concocted in the lab and found a way to play it that made sense and came up with the EXACT sound I was hearing in my head. He added some really cool bits I hadn’t thought of and his solo is really dynamic and I love the intensity as it builds.

@valentino_maltos Got that tone and sound I was hoping for when writing this tune and his solo is so awesome! That super high note always gets me!!

Shoutout to all the guys for nailing that crazy lick I put at the end🤘🤘

Lastly, thank you to @david_djent for such a killer video edit!! He took all the footage we shot and made it look real professional! I really love how it turned out.

Thanks A MILLION guys!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I played Guitar, Bass, and Synth Bass on this track and also Produced, Mixed, and Mastered it. This song was written as an ode to my favorite jazz fusion tunes I was so heavily inspired by in college.

Thanks so much for watching and listening! It means the WORLD to me!! 🙏🙏

This is probably my favorite @johnpetrucciofficial solo! The feel and touch he plays with combined with some great shred phrases makes this a killer all around solo. Side note, I am really obsessed lately with playing with a light chorus on like all the time. I’d be fine never turning it off! How about some Guitar/Mando county shred in church? We’re always having a blast at Chapelwood! James came up with this cool part and Jim and I decided to make it a little more shreddy for one of breaks. The first bump is also on beat! 😂
Right after, is part at the end where James came up with a cool 3 part idea for us to play at the breakdown. Fun times! #shredguitar #countryguitar #mandolin #telecaster by @nick.matzke

What actually goes into creating a Dolby Atmos demo?

I just released a behind-the-scenes look at Beyond the Room, the Atmos demo I created for CEDIA 2026.

In the full video, I break down some of the sounds, object movement, and creative decisions that went into making it.

🎧 Watch the full video on YouTube — and if you haven’t tried Beyond the Room yet, the demo is free to download! My new Atmos channel is Atmos by Nick Matzke!

Well that was a successful day!! We got the AVS forum award for Best of CEDIA 2026! 1st pic with Rob and Lee from NextLevel Acoustics and Erik from AVS forum. Lots of great compliments on the demo all day. I’ll add some pictures of our room and a video of the demo playing in the room. 2nd, I got to meet even more people in the industry and talk and hang. This has been so awesome. I’ve been aware of so many of these guys for a while and it’s so cool to meet them in person and hang out!
Just like NAMM, the coolest part of this show is not the gear but hanging out with awesome people.

3rd, I did get to experience almost all the other sound rooms and see and hear some amazing gear and room setups. Getting to hear Trinnov wave forming for the first time paired with some true infrasonic subs in the Krix room was earth shaking. Hearing the Ascendo room was another awesome experience with some truly unique Atmos speakers and some truly tactile bass. Lastly, getting to hear the Alcons room was great but the highlight of that room was seeing a Christie Griffin projector that was hitting 600 nits calibrated! It was INSANE! Also wave forming in that room for some amazing bass and a room designed by Matthew Poes was an amazing combo. All of these rooms, including ours, had the video calibration done by my friend Daniel Fitterer and the audio calibration done by friend Matthew Trinklein. Awesome job guys! They all sounded and looked amazing! #cedia #hometheater #dolbyatmos by @nick.matzke
