Senior year state — All I can say is that this year has made me better in every avenue of life. I struggled so much to stay motivated this season after two years of being stagnant and seeing hardly any progress, but if there’s one sure thing in life, it’s that giving up is never an option. I kept at it, even on the many days I didn’t want to. Many nights, I stayed up just thinking about how I wasn’t getting better. I truly put my literal blood, sweat, and tears into this season and gave it everything I had. Although it wasn’t the win I’d been looking for my entire career, I beat the biggest opponent anyone could ever face — the man in the mirror. The PR today was such a satisfying result and a testament to everything I’ve given over the years. by @nick__kopp97

Junior Track 2025 + State- Overall it was a good season, but not perfect by any means. I certainly improved from my sophomore year, but not as much as I’d hoped for. This was my first year as a top competitor in the state and won a lot of meets, but also lost a few as well. I ended up region champ in the 800m and on the winning 4x800 team with my boys Mike, Drew, and Evan. I broke my own school record several times throughout the season including my PR at state this year. As a team we did very well and won almost every meet we entered including a boys and girls region title. I ended up getting 4th in the 800m this year at state. Although I still ran my fastest time ever, I am still disappointed I lost the race as I was leading by a lot with about 250 meters to go and still managed to get caught by three people. Next year that state title is coming home with me though… I’ll make sure of it. by @nick__kopp97
