POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s just not possible to capture all the emotions…all of Mother Nature’s power and unpredictability… all the beauty of the Great Karoo and its surroundings into a 60-second reel.

I’ve spent the last few weeks replaying the entire experience in my head, trying to figure out what I’d say when I finally posted my @gravel_burn recap. And in the end, there’s really only one thing that matters.

That was, without a doubt, the best seven days I’ve ever spent on a bicycle.

Sharing it with my best friend was the 🍒 on top.
Some days we opened the taps and pinned it, some days we slowed down, soaked up the views and inhaled everything at the padstals. Sometimes one of us was the hammer, sometimes the nail.

Looking back, I wouldn’t change a single thing @misslizavisser

The Ceder 140km. Having previously done the 245km circuit, I went into the 140 with sense of calm and maybe even a sprinkle of over-confidence …well, after that right-turn out of Clanwilliam and on to those rollers back towards Algeria, I got put in check very quickly 🥵 and I really felt that temp 🌡️ tipping over 40°. All in all an EPIC day out on the gravel of the Cederberg. Best part, getting to share all of it along side @misslizavisser and watching her cross the line for her 🥉 A big shout to @raoulgoetze + @troymaloy for putting together another exceptional @thecederrace 👏 by @nickleft

Planting a tree in celebration of Harper & Huxley’s mom’s birthday.
A way to remember her, to celebrate her life, and to have something that will grow with us for years to come.

SUNDAY🍦MOROS by @nickleft

You were my hero. Literally.
Not a day passes that I don’t miss you, think of you and long for a conversation with the 52 year old man you would be today.
Immortalised as a 29 year old and still today, my hero.
Happy B’day Bro 🕊️
