TLK Transfer Portal combine!

Extremely thankful for everyone who helped make yesterday possible. The athletes showed up and gave it everything they had. Our goal was simple—build a first-class event from top to bottom that allowed these athletes to perform at their highest level, and they delivered.

Huge thank you to @isaacpunts for the elite broadcasting and coverage. First-class experience all the way through.

I’ll be sharing a series of photos from the combine—this event delivered. More to come.

New Year, Same Team 🤙🏼 by @nickwoolfolk2

I’ve had the opportunity to train Nick Woolfolk for a little over a year now, and the growth he’s shown both on and off the field has been incredible. Nick’s work ethic, attention to detail, and professionalism stand out.

He’s now one of my full-time coaches here at TLK and has become a tremendous instructor. He takes my coaching points, applies them, and adds his own knowledge to help our athletes improve every single session.

I’m proud of the coach and person he’s become — any athlete who trains with him will walk away better than they came in.

Do you find it hard to stay focused throughout an entire game?

Finding that sweet spot where you perform your best takes time, trial, and error. Developing the mental toughness to stay locked in for four hours isn’t easy, but it’s what the best in the world do.

For example, I’ve had days where I went out and had a perfect warm-up, and it caused me to get a little too comfortable, assuming that same feeling would carry into the game. In reality, my focus and preparation were what created that great warm-up. The key is maintaining that same mindset and transferring it into the game.

Sometimes, when I’ve had a decent warm-up with a few really good hits and a few misses, it actually helped me stay more focused during the game because I was striving for perfection.

Here’s the overall message: don’t abandon what got you the results. If you had a great warm-up and you were super focused, stay in that zone. Don’t allow yourself to get comfortable. Learn to be comfortable in the uncomfortable.
