🇬🇧My first time at Assen turned out to be a first in more ways than one. For one day, it became the Cathedral of Sand.
And nope, this isn’t AI 😬.

Pretty much zero grip and barely visible kerbs. Going full throttle down the start-finish straight on the @yamaha_motor_be Ténéré for the first time felt surreal 🔥. One I won’t forget anytime soon.

They were getting nervous up in the watchtower—there wasn’t a first-aid post on site. But all’s well that ends well. No unnecessary risks, and I still got to clock an off-road lap time.🍀 by @nicky_ks29

🇬🇧The Ducati Desmo250 MX test was one with a golden edge. 🌅

Golden hour, followed by riding under the floodlights… there’s just something special about it.

Rubbing elbows with a nine-time world champion and 15,000 rpm for breakfast. Definitely not your average day. 😏✊

Summer evenings, use them well ☀️ by @nicky_ks29

🇬🇧Headlight racing 🔦 Ducati has absolutely nailed it with the Desmo450 EDS.

A completely new chapter for Ducati in the world of enduro. Not a converted motocross bike, but a purpose-built machine that feels at home from the very first metre on technical trails, steep climbs and long days in the saddle. And yes… it’s fully street legal.

First test ride in Bologna ✔️, tackling every condition imaginable 🙈.

Grazie di tutto @ducati @ducatibenelux 🇮🇹

Keep an 👀 on @motornieuws and @motor.nl_ for the full test report.

Flat track racing is motorsport in its rawest form. No jumps, no electronics, and no unnecessary technical gimmicks. Just a motorcycle, an oval of clay or gravel, and a rider pushing the limits of traction.

The sport emerged in the early 1900s in the United States, during a time when motorcycles were still primitive and racing was all about courage. The first races were held on horse tracks and wooden board tracks — massive wooden ovals where brakeless motorcycles blasted around at incredible speeds.

Flat track isn’t about perfect lap times or clinical precision. It’s about rhythm, control, and aggression. Keeping the motorcycle constantly on the edge while the rear wheel searches for traction. But like every other branch of motorcycling, it’s also about the camaraderie off the track and the adrenaline rush that comes with the smell of gasoline.

That atmosphere and culture were immortalized in the iconic film On Any Sunday — a movie that captured not only the racing itself, but also the freedom, passion, and sense of brotherhood that defined motorcycling in that era.

But whatever you do, don’t turn right!

Double shift ✌🏻

🇬🇧A few weeks ago, during the presentation of the QJMotor SRT 450 RX, I was not only allowed to touch the engine for Motornieuws, but also to guide the group during the ride. So double assignment: drive ahead, get the group safely to their destination and at the same time collect enough impressions for a test report.

That report is now online on Motornieuws.be, motor.nl and will soon also appear in Moto73.

The QJMotor SRT 450 RX already left a positive impression. Comfortable, surprisingly fully equipped 👀.
