Today was my first offering of Meditation & Mindfulness at the incredible Cranbrook school where I am proudly employed now.
My father is alumni and my grandfather painted a former head masters portrait hanging on the wall just next to my desk. Life has a funny way of working out 🙂🙏

I was the confident, outgoing one. Nobody would have guessed what I was carrying on the inside.

Perfectionism doesn't always look like straight A's and a tidy bedroom. Sometimes it looks like a girl who's funny and capable and always fine while silently falling apart underneath.

This is the conversation I've been having with teenage girls for 10 years. And it starts with naming it.

Save this if it resonates. Share it with a girl who needs to hear it. 💛

They're not complicated. But they work.

Santosha the practice of contentment. Appreciating who you are right now, before you've achieved anything else.

Movement getting on the mat, breathing with intention, moving the emotions that don't have words yet.

Meditation inner technology. The ability to press pause on the noise and listen to what's actually going on inside.

Journaling because self-awareness is the foundation of everything. You can't change what you can't see.

Being your own best friend because the way a girl talks to herself shapes everything. Her confidence. Her relationships. Her entire experience of being alive.

Five tools. A lifetime of practice and a foundation nothing can take away. 💛

Save this. Share it with a teen who's ready to start building her roots.

An acorn has everything it needs to become an oak tree already inside it.

So does she.

The tools aren't magic. They're practice. Daily, quiet, unglamorous practice that builds the kind of inner foundation that can weather anything.

Save this for the girl or the parent who's ready to start planting. 💛

Lunar Arts yoga workshop today was a deep dive into the water element. To unfurl layers of tension physically emotionally and mentally, to return to center whole and rejuvenated 🌀💚✨🙏

You are both feminine and masculine. And those aren't gendered ideas they're energies. Two forces that live inside every single one of us.

The feminine is your feeling. Your intuition. The thing you know before you can explain why you know it.

The masculine is your action. Your boundaries. The part that takes what you feel and gives it permission to exist in the world.

When a girl only lives in one she burns out. Or she disappears.
But when she learns to bring both together when she lets her heart lead and then gives that heart permission to act that's when everything shifts.

Journal it. Dance it. Say the hard thing. Apply for the thing. Stand up for the thing.
The feeling is your feminine. The action is your masculine.

You need both. And you already have both. 💛

Save this. Share it with a teenage girl who needs to hear it.
