Sharing the ones I’ve read marked on the pictures 🤗

Wow! This morning I learned that The Voice We Find is a Christy Award Finalist in the Contemporary Romance category! 🥹❤️🎉 Overwhelmed and overjoyed.
Thank you to every reader and writer friend who has encouraged me through the years to keep sharing my stories. I love you all. by @nicoledeeseauthor

This past year I’ve taken a little pause from posting on social media, but I wasn’t about to miss sharing such a special event in my family from this past weekend.

Our son, Lincoln, proposed to his beautiful girlfriend, Rian, on Saturday night and we could not be more thrilled! We are all so stinkin’ proud of the intentionality and integrity they’ve walked in since the start of their relationship two and a half years ago. (Or to quote my son, “988 days ago…”) 😘

Rian, I hope every praying mama out there has the privilege of watching a young woman look at her son the way you look at mine. 🥹 Thank you for loving him so well, you’re an inspiration to many. We are excited for all the next steps and milestones to come in your lives and I have no doubt you will be the most stunning bride—you radiate joy every single day. I’ll be honored to call you my daughter-in-love. ❤️

And to the Short family: What a gift it has been to walk alongside you on this journey. From giddy whispers of “what if” in the church lobby to now planning a wedding together… we are SO blessed to call you family.

Can I fan girl for a minute? @nicoledeeseauthor has a way with words. As I read her stories I’m often struck by the beautiful ways she uses words to set the scene and describe emotions.

On Monday, June 15, she will join us over Zoom and I get to interview her. 😍 I love these conversations with authors. We get to take a peek behind the scenes and hear their story and what inspired the book we read that month.

The meetings are open to anyone who wants to join. All you have to do is sign up for the Christian Fiction Fans book club on my website to get the link. (It prevents Zoombombing.)

Wordy Wednesday with a little bit of @nicoledeeseauthor 😊

The perfect summer read and one of many of my favorite quotes from this book. Nothing like a book filled with romantic love, familial love, and the loss of love. Absolutely adored this one

I love to think of this quote as I see every year coming to an end as the end of a chapter instead the end of a book

Her next one in this series is on my summer tbr and so excited to jump into it!! by @nicoledeeseauthor

✨Book Review : All That Really Matters ✨
Reviewed by: 👱🏻‍♀️
Genre: Contemporary Romance
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️- I absolutely loved it!
😇: strong faith themes including forgiveness & trusting in the Savior
🤐: no language
😍: a few wholesome kisses!
⛔️ Content Considerations: themes of foster care hardships, drug abuse and violence

👏🏽 So many trusted friends (including Laura!) have loved the Mackenzie Family stories from @nicoledeeseauthor , so I knew this would be a good book…but I wasn’t prepared for just how good!

This book is built on a few uniquely compelling storylines that the author weaves within each other so deftly:
a beauty & fashion influencer looking for something deeper than the illusion of her produced content…
a man with a painful past who spends his waking moments serving at-risk young adults grapples with his own need to heal…
a group of troubled young adults trying to make choices for a better future but seemed tethered by their own traumatic pasts or harmful proclivities…

😏 Let Me Persuade You: This book is a charming romance story, yes. But it’s so much more.
It examines what it means to build your life on something bigger than yourself and in doing so, find true and lasting meaning. Highly highly recommend! by @nicoledeeseauthor

Happy Easter! He is RISEN!

My Thoughts 💭
I absolutely loved this book and honestly could not put it down. I read Nicole’s Fog Harbor books this year and was obsessed. This one had been sitting in my TBR for a while and I decided to pick it up while recovering from my miscarriage in December. It was the perfect choice, a story filled with sweet moments and encouragement. Beautiful moments of faith were woven throughout the story and the characters were easy to connect with. Silas and Molly’s story was lovely and I liked that foster care awareness was a part of the story. Molly’s character development was amazing as she shifted the focus off of herself, her life was transformed in the best ways and she gained so much depth. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and immediately ordered the next one which I am reading this month!

Read if you like:
🎀 Duel POV
🎀 Redemption
🎀 Excellent character developmental
🎀 Social media influencers
🎀 Clean romance
🎀 Releasing control, following God’s plan
🎀 Foster care awareness

💋 Kisses only
