👶 Helping NICU Moms Explore Income From Home
🤍 Mom of 2 • Healing Out Loud
↓ How I’m exploring income from home

POSTS STORIES REELS

I told everyone at work my son was coming early. He came 24 hours later. 🤍

Part 1 of my NICU story: how it all started at 35 weeks.

Start here if you’re new, and follow along for part 2.

I’m not a therapist, just sharing what’s helped me heal❤️

People ask why I’m exploring this, so here’s the honest version.

After the NICU, going back to work stopped being a simple question. My son only breastfeeds, he doesn’t eat solids yet, and we have specialist appointments constantly. Daycare wasn’t an option, and I couldn’t picture handing him to someone else.

I looked at what I’d have to do to make a regular job work, caregivers, schedules, time away from him. None of it fit.

So I started exploring an online business I can build in small pockets of time around him. It’s direct sales, I’m still early, and it’s not for everyone. For me, it’s the option that fit.

If you’ve wondered the same thing, you don’t have to decide anything yet. Just look.

If you’re curious, reply HOME and I’ll send you the details.

One year ago my water broke at 35 weeks pregnant. I had no clue what was going to happen.

Watching my new baby get put into a stretcher and ambulance has changed me in so many ways.

I remember back then I couldn't even picture what the next day would look like, let alone months. And now we are a year later.

I have the happiest, thriving little boy. ❤️

Your kindness is your superpower.

If you do anything daily, show kindness ❤️

Holding him takes me back to the NICU sometimes.

I think about how hard it was waiting to be able to hold my baby. Needing a team to help me hold him.

Waiting for the day that I would be able to just pick him up on my own.

Those days of waiting were awful and I couldn't wven picture the life we have now.

Let me know if this resonates with you 💬

Raise your hand if you always leave the house on time. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Yeah…me neither! 😆

I have been a mom for 8 years and STILL struggle to leave the house on time.

And despite all my strategic planning, we are often late for the things I didn’t see coming—the toy we just HAD to have, the missing shoe, the water bottle that I thought I just filled, or my personal favorite, the “she is looking at me” fight. 🙄

Motherhood is quite the adventure and is filled with surprises, so let’s laugh at the chaos because it’s better than the alternative! 😆

You can start looking at options without deciding anything.

After the NICU, going back to work wasn’t just a schedule change for me. It was handing my baby to someone else when his needs aren’t simple. That tightness wasn’t me being dramatic. It was a mom who’d been through a lot.

So I started exploring. Slowly, in small pockets of time, and with no pressure to figure it all out at once. For me that’s an online business. It’s direct sales, I’m still early, and it’s not for everyone.

If you’re feeling this too, you don’t have to have a plan yet. Just permission to look.

Comment “HOME" if this is you, or if you want to see what I’m exploring.

“Have you tried...?” Yes. We have.

People mean well, but when your baby has had a NICU stay and a calendar full of specialists, the advice starts to feel like a quiz you didn’t sign up for.

You’re not doing it wrong. Tell me your most-asked “have you tried” below 👇

I’m a NICU mom, and I’m done pretending the system works for moms like us.

Some of us can’t just drop our babies at daycare and hope for the best. Some of us have been through too much to hand them over again.

So I’m exploring a different way to build income from home, around my kids and not away from them.

I’m not a guru and I’m not promising anything. I’m just sharing what I’m doing and what I’m learning.

If you’re a NICU mom and you want to see what this looks like, comment HOME and I’ll send you the details. 🤍

As a mom I always have a long list of things to take care of that day.

I am guilty of forgetting about myself.

Moms give so much to everyone else and sometimes forget to eat enough or even drink enough water.

When you are thinking of your list of things to take care of today. Don't forget about yourself. Even if that means just 10 mins outside to breathe. ❤️

Send this to a mom who needs the reminder.

Something I wish more people understood... staying home with your baby isn’t always a choice. 🤍

When your child is medically complex, daycare isn’t always an option. Work has to fit around their care, not the other way around.

I’ve been there, and I know how heavy that can feel. You can want to be present for their care and still need to figure out how your family makes it work.

I’m sharing my story and what I’m building from home along the way. If this is you, follow along. You’re not doing this alone.

💬 Tell me in the comments if you’ve felt this too.

You did enough today. 🤍

Before you fall asleep, take one minute for yourself. Soften your forehead, relax your hands, and breathe in for four and out for six.

Then think of one thing you got through today, even if it was small. Showing up counts.

Whatever is still on your to-do list can wait until tomorrow. Tonight, your only job is rest.

🔖 Save this for tonight and come back to it anytime.
📩 Send it to a mom who needs rest.
💬 Tell me one thing you got through today. I’d love to celebrate it with you.

This is a simple moment of calm, not a replacement for professional support.
