Hi i am Niels ✌️
Just a guy who likes to post about his adventures. by @niels_behrens

Getting into bikepacking was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Every tour has brought me new experiences, adventures, and insights. And the fact that things don't always go according to plan is part of the learning process.

And let me tell you, nobody starts as a professional. The most important thing is to just start, and the rest you'll learn along the way. by @niels_behrens

I really dont like pushing my bike, but on the peru divide that became my everyday life.
Steep climbs, bad gravel roads and the high altitude forced me to push my bike again and again. At some point i got a bit used to it and still i prefer to ride my bike.

Sometimes we need to look back to see how far we’ve come...

I feel like I often focus on the future - on the things and challenges that still lie ahead. But sometimes I try to pause and look back. A look back to see how far I’ve already come. To see how many challenges I’ve overcome, how much I’ve grown.
The long climbs in the Peruvian mountains were perfect for pausing and looking back, enjoying the view, and seeing where I'd come from. I should do that more often...
