HEROESFEST IS THIS SUNDAY!!

We can’t wait! And here is all the info you need to know for our biggest event of the year at our store!

We have our annual HeroesFest this Sunday from 11am-5pm in our parking lot. Like usual, we have a TON of vendors and this year more artists than ever signing and selling their wares. (Artists this year include Derrek Fridolfs, John Hageman, Nicholas Garza, Steph Cannon and Steven A Wilcox. Well, Steph is a writer, but that's it's own kind of art...) The costume contest (with tons of prizes) starts at 2:30pm, the Trunk-r-Treat at 3pm AND a ton of cool raffles to help raise money for charity!

*IMPORTANT* - Our parking lot is more full than ever and spaces are limited. We encourage you to please park at the Kohl’s lot which is a very short walk away from our store.

AND help show the businesses in our lot some love (since we are taking all their space 😅) by having lunch/dinner at Sal’s or Dumpling U and grab a drink at Rumi!
Purchases at any of these restaurants will get you FREE RAFFLE TICKETS for hundreds of dollars in prizes!

I had the pleasure of tabling with @rafsalazart @digo_doodles and @artofdonaguillo at uncanny experience and I must say it's the most well planned and run event I've tabled at. The staff, the volunteers and the organizers all worked together seamlessly, and it was such a privilege to see so much camaraderie and fun over the weekend. If I get the opportunity to go again next year I'll jump at the chance and if you're a fan of marvel mutants, I'd highly recommend it. by @secretidfresno

I did this #wolverine painting on the live stream last Friday with @artofdonaguillo @digo_doodles and @rafsalazart
I was really keen to see how the @eonprez 200lb paper would stand up to acrylic paint. Happy to say it was consistent and predictable with no significant buckling or warping. by @secretidfresno

💀GUNSLINGER SPAWN 29 by @nihilo_art 💀

Every published comic cover begins with a single original piece of art.

I’m incredibly excited to add the original cover art for Gunslinger Spawn 29 Cover B by Thaddeus Robeck @nihilo_art to my collection.

One of the things I appreciate most about original comic art is seeing the artist’s process before the colors are added. The pencil rendering, ink work, lighting, and textures all stand on their own, creating a completely different experience than the finished published cover. Then, seeing Ivan Nunes’ @ivannunescolors colors bring the piece to life on the final comic makes you appreciate the collaboration that goes into every cover.

This issue also marks a major turning point in the Spawn Universe. Following the events of Spawn 350, the timeline jumps six months into the future, launching a new direction where the status quo has changed and, as the solicitation warned, “no one is safe.”

Thaddeus absolutely captured everything that makes Gunslinger Spawn such an iconic character the weathered duster, the chained belt, the pistols, and that unmistakable stare. It’s a deceptively simple composition, but the more you study the original art, the more details reveal themselves.

Owning both the original artwork and the published cover side by side is what makes collecting original comic art so rewarding. It’s a chance to preserve the artist’s vision exactly as it left the drawing board before it became part of Spawn history.

Thank you, Thaddeus, for creating such an incredible piece that I’m proud to call part of my collection.

I was a big fan of Sam Kieth's work and the Maxx was a huge part of my comics journey throughout the years. This is my tribute. by @secretidfresno
