This is a space where I can talk about my love of tea and all the other things I’m trying out :)

I found an incredible C2C crochet pattern with cat blocks!!! But I wanted to practice the corner to corner method first before attempting a rigid pattern with specific images, so while making a scrap yarn baby blanket for a friend, I’m trying out the C2C technique to learn a new skill.

So much thanks to the tutorials I have used to learn this method.

The progress continues!!!! It’s starting to feel like a blanket 🎀 by @nikkinaelovestea

I’m really loving this new pattern that I’ve decided to try! If you’re crocheting and a beginner I’d definitely recommend it: https://icancrochetthat.com/the-finley-throw/

There’s a video total for the bean stitch included in the free pattern and the rest is half double crochet stitch. If you try this pattern out, let me know in the comments na share your own progress!!!! by @nikkinaelovestea

Next WIP: Baby Blanket for my Sister! She’s cooking with baby #2. We can’t wait to meet you little one 🎀

Trying out a new pattern because I wanted to challenge myself to learn some new stitches, I was getting a little bored of the pattern I had been using, and I wanted both kids to have their own design. by @nikkinaelovestea

I got so immersed in my hobby I forgot to share it will you all. I’ve made 3 baby blankets so far and I’m working on my 4th. Feel like I’m getting better each time 🤞🏻😍 by @nikkinaelovestea

I’ve been putting this one off because I don’t want Tea Advent to be over, but alas it is true 😭

Silent night is the Christmas Potpourri you wish you could drink AND ACTUALLY CAN! it’s spicy, full bodied and comforting like a warm hug. by @nikkinaelovestea

My husband and I split up these days:

Day 21 Peanut Butter Cup: so light, like a hot LaCroix. Not overly sweet and really tasty. If you’re looking for deep rich flavors, this might not be for you, but it’s a touch a simple sweetness that is approachable and not overwhelming

Day 22: Blood Orange Boost. My husband got to enjoy this one and he didn’t leave a drop behind!

Day 23: Caramel Shortbread. STUNNING. No notes. Not very sweet but definitely tastes like the cookie we all know and love. Absolutely a highlight of this calendar. One of my top two picks. by @nikkinaelovestea

After an extended break to travel for the holidays I’m back to finish out the advent calendar!!!

Day 17: This was a light and beautiful green tea. I am often partial to teas with Jasmine so this was an easy win.

Day 18: Apple Cider! Want the sweetness without the sugar? This tea is tangy and a good composition that gives the essence of cider without being overly sweet.

Day 19: Saigon Chai! Perfectly balanced, spicy and ideal as a tea latte. Warm and comforting with a little kick.

Day 20: Earl Garden! This black tea is so balanced, low tannins and subtle hints of vanilla. One of my favorite black teas of the whole year. by @nikkinaelovestea

Next up in our catch up marathon of the @davidstea advent calendar we have Day 16 & Day 17.

Forever Nuts is a classic in our home and a welcomed dose of familiar flavors. Its light, fruity and cinnamon spice combination give a somewhat unique palette reminiscent of shortbread (at least in my opinion).

Read My Lips is a savory black tea with peppercorn; mint and chocolate. The combination mixes sweet, spicy and mint into a delicious treat. The chocolate is subtle leaving the mint and peppercorn to dance on your tastebuds and elevate an otherwise classic black tea into something unexpected. Not too sweet and not too tannic, it’s a great pick me up. by @nikkinaelovestea
