Happy 15th Birthday! 🎉

Dear Dallas, Imagine 2 people coming together and planning their lives. That plan included children. One of those children had to be first. That first was you.

I am only strong because you showed me how strong I could be, the moment I found out I was carrying you. The way we moved and worked together for you to enter this world on September 23, 2011, will always be my favorite adventure with you. If only you truly knew the depths I reached within myself for you that day, you would know that I’ll never, ever leave your side.

May this year of 15 be the year you fine tune your self advocacy, continue to think critically (which you do so well), challenge what has always been, and NEVER forget you were created out of love, to love, and to be loved. ❤️

Happy 15th Birthday! We love you! ❤️

Have you ever dreamed of having a VBAC at home?

Have you been scared to try to achieve it?

Have you ever met anyone who has?

Let me introduce you to @miss_cedes1 She hired me a few years ago after she had a c section with her first. She switched to me from her OBGYN when she was in her second trimester with her second baby. She wanted to VBAC at home.

Fast forward a few months later, SHE DID!!!!

A couple years later, I got the call again….”Nikki I’m pregnant!” I said “Let’s do another VBAC!”

Sweet baby girl, Marlow (9lbs 5oz) was born at home earlier this summer…..fast and furious. Made her momma work, made her dad @shotbyct make calls to the whole birth team, and gave her midwife a crap ton of gray hair! 😅

This is what giving women a chance looks like. She trusted her body, trusted her team and in the end, achieved her goal!

What a woman!
