PS the fella in the photo is my dad, a US Marine veteran. by @ninaruthbruno

More #ooak #usmc #swarovski earrings in the Etsy shop. Proud US Marine Corps veteran daughter! PS the photos used for backdrops in this post are of my beautiful grandmother, who married my grandfather just before he shipped out to the European Theater of World War II.

New in the Etsy shop, Link in bio. The glass cabochons with the Marine Corps emblem are vintage and no longer being made so the three pairs of earrings I made are each one of a kind. These are made with vintage Swarovski crystal hearts from the #1940s Oorah!

Today would have been Asher's 6th Gotcha Day❣Last year on this very day, which would have been his 5th Gotcha Day, I received his pawprint plaque and memorial...poignant and bittersweet timing.

I still miss that adorable, bat-eared, chunky goober every day, but I'm so grateful for every hard and hilarious moment I was gifted with him.

Ever grateful to Jesus and so grateful to @kirarescue for the provision and privilege 💖🐾👑 🌈

"Here is the world. Beautiful and terrible things will happen. Don't be afraid."

Just back from seeing @thehidingplacefilm produced by @as_peterson @therabbitroom

So powerful.

It was all beautiful, but a personal God-wink moment for me came in a scene where part of Lamentations is being read... I was undone.

Should've brought kleenex! 😭😭😭

Go see the story of Corrie ten Boom in this powerful stage adaptation!

(PS to my British friends, it releases in theaters in the UK on August 16th🇬🇧)

Sure do miss this little goober! One of the many bummers about getting hacked a month ago or so was losing 1700 posts, about 7 years of interactions and so much of sharing joy and loss.

From a devotional I read this morning:

"He saw the Lord seated on a throne. He was not standing or walking or sleeping, but seated...God is not flustered by what goes on in our lives. He is seated. One sits down after completing a task. On the cross, Jesus finished all the work of salvation and said, ‘it is finished’."

This is such powerful truth for me right now in this season.

When we are hurting in any area, it is a natural instinct to cry out, "God, why?!" And stoic asceticism does not impress Him, because Isaiah goes on to declare from the Lord, "all of our 'righteousnesses' are as filthy rags before Him.'

God is okay with our lament (we see lament expressed in "How long, oh Lord?" from Genesis to Revelation, from Abraham to the Tribulation saints), and there is a difference between lament and complaint.

I pray that these multi-faceted trials many of us are going through will ultimately demonstrate HIS goodness, and not our own. 🙏🏻😭👑

My beautiful family! It was so wonderful to see my brother and sister-in-law and two of their three beautiful girls! We haven't seen each other in a long time and it was great to have a bit of a family reunion over such a joyous occasion as the wedding of Ellie and Chris! I'm sure going to miss these peeps!🥰 I will just have to figure out a way to get to Nashville and Chicago soon 😄 by @ninaruthbruno

Well, my original/business IG account, @alwayz_a_treasure was hacked a little over a week ago, and nearly 850 friends, 1701 posts, and over 7 years of life - joys, sorrows, business posts of my Jane Austen & other book jewelry, laughter, tears, my precious #AsherDog from @kirarescue sharing with my IG family & friends faith, fears, hopes & dreams; the Homegoing of my beloved mother 4 years ago - ALL OF IT, gone - hacked so some fool could post spam in my name. And as @instagram has done nothing to help me recover my original account (the hacker not only took over my IG account but they also changed the email address of where a password was recover would be sent to their email!), I'm having to start all over again from scratch with this account.

But I will try to rebuild as much as possible! A fresh start isn't always a bad thing. :+)
