Behind the Scenes: Duel on Mustafar.

This is a post that I first mocked up back in August and did the mods for in September, but was never able to make it look exactly how I wanted. I looked through a lot of deleted footage and bts photos to try and make everything as accurate as possible. One key aspect I wanted for this post was to have 1 unedited scene and 1 edited scene. I also tried to keep the aspect ratios accurate to the bts footage and the film. @jedimastergosling did an exceptional job editing and was the first person I had in mind for this project. He made exactly what I pictured in my mind into reality and I’m very thankful for that.

This might be one of my favorite mods to date and ik I say that everytime, but brickarms’ custom droid arms and shoulder pegs are a perfect fit for Huyang. I recommend this mod to anyone buying the new T-6 shuttle that releases this Friday.

I bought the arms from the US based reseller @freshstockblocks.

Also, shoutout to @brickmasterharri for telling me about the specific Kohl’s to find the set early.

Great figures from some of the best creators in this space. I used the ep3 Anakin body because I feel like the colors are more accurate to the film, although there are some inaccuracies such as the boots and pants that I didn’t feel like editing ngl. I would very much like to see a full custom dedicated to this appearance that has been overlooked for far too long. Also, melnik padme goated. One of the best customs in my collection. Melnik goated, keep employing him.

These figs are based on the first appearance of Bo-Katan in the Clone Wars episode “A Friend in Need.” I have planned to make this post many months now, but could not find a proper helmet for Bo-Katan since this is before her night owl helmet insignia. Instead, I just decided to edit both the insignia and visor (to match size of 2023 Bo.) Hopefully this will give any customs creators out there the idea to make this helmet ;)

At the start of any project is an idea and seeing those ideas become a reality is a very rewarding thing. I love seeing where some of our favorite characters first start out as. Zam Wesell is a character I never paid too much attention to, but after looking further into her design and behind the scenes backstory you can tell a lot of care was put into it. In this post I wanted to show a comparison between the concept art by Ed Natividad (@vehiclesix) to the actual on screen appearance, in Lego form.

Similar to the initial creation of the character Zam Wesell (@leeannawalsman) this custom figure, Zealous Hunter, first started out as just an idea and was brought to life by the many talented people working on it. It was obvious that a lot of hard work was put into every aspect of this project so I’d like to take the time to appreciate everyone involved in its production. 🫶

My shiniest custom of them all is this beautiful chrome 3po. Unlike the official chrome 3po, this one is in the modern style and is 30x cheaper. This fig is UV printed and chromed on official parts and is made by the wonderful @chrome_block_city. This is the same store I got my Geo 3po from and I can highly recommend. The only thing I would ask for is a silver leg and 270 print, other than that it’s perfect.
