This is Kurt Cobain’s ACTUAL Smells Like Teen Spirit mustang. The world’s most expensive electric guitar. Holding down the F power chord, the first chord to Teen Spirit, on this piece of history was like holding Excalibur to me. Absolutely surreal Excited to announce Episode 3 of “My Time With Kurt Cobain’s Actual Guitar” series. Documenting and throughly examining every inch of Kurt’s beloved 1969 Fender Competition Mustang Premiering this Saturday, May 11 on YouTube. I’ll never be able to thank @thejimirsaycollection enough for allowing me to create a comprehensive visual & historic record of one of the most important guitars in rock music. It’s an honor that I do not take lightly or for granted UPDATE: Full video is live! Click the link in my bio and then click “My Time With Kurt Cobain’s Actual Guitars: The Series” by @nirvanaguitars
Holding Kurt Cobain’s ACTUAL VMA Strat Extremely excited to announce Episode 2 of “My Time With Kurt Cobain’s Actual Guitar” series. Documenting, measuring and throughly examining the remains of the VMA Strat. Both The signed body and the neck Premiering on YouTube on Kurt’s birthday, Tuesday February 20th. Celebrate that day by getting very up close and personal to Kurt’s actual Stratocaster UPDATE: Full video is live! You are not going to believe what I did this past weekend. Me with Earnie Bailey, and Skystang I. The real deal, Kurt Cobain’s ACTUAL guitar. His number 1 guitar on the In Utero tour. The Live & Loud guitar. I’ll never be able to thank @juliens_auctions , Chad Cobain and Earnie Bailey enough for this experience. Dreams do come true. Video coming soon, stay tuned. UPDATE: Full video is live! Click the link in my bio and then click “My Time With Kurt Cobain’s Actual Guitars: The Series” by @nirvanaguitars
As a Minnesotan & Nirvana fanatic, it was a lifelong dream to just physically see @pachydermstudios where Nirvana recorded In Utero But to step inside and play guitar there?? To make In Utero sounds in the actual rooms Nirvana recorded those sounds in?! My favorite album of all time has never sounded the same since 😭❤️ #nirvana #nirvanainutero #inutero #nirvanaguitar #kurtcobain by @nirvanaguitars
Happy Halloween 🎃 or as it is to Nirvana fanatics, happy Paramount Day! To celebrate the 35th anniversary of this iconic performance, in this week’s video we will be reversing Kurt Cobain’s Paramount guitars. Using a 1 for 1 Vandalism Strat replica to play the Jaguar songs & using a KC Jaguar to play the Vandalism Strat songs Does this upside-down scenario make you wish Kurt used the opposite guitar on a song here and there? Video link in bio & story 🎸 #nirvana #nirvanaguitar #nirvanaliveattheparamount #liveattheparamount #kurtcobain by @nirvanaguitars
It’s almost Paramount day! To celebrate the anniversary of one of Nirvana’s most famous shows, this week’s video will be out on Saturday (October 31st 🎃) instead of the usual Friday In the meantime, here’s the KC Paramount guitar duo: @fender Roadworn Kurt Cobain Signature Jaguar @khristore Vandalism Strat #nirvana #nirvanaguitar #kurtcobain #kurtcobainguitar by @nirvanaguitars
🧡 ORANJ-STANG UPDATE ❤️ It’s been a long time coming!! Thank you all for your patience on the Oranj Stang build, it’s taken a lot longer than I expected to get all the parts. But everything is finally here and this will soon get assembled 😃 Wanted to give you an update on the parts: - Squier Vintage Modified Mustang fiesta red body and neck single coil pickup (from ClownStang) - CIJ Fender Jag-Stang neck with refinished headstock - Seymour Duncan JB Antiquity * This is Seymour Duncan’s “premium” JB. It is supposed to be accurate spec to the original JBs and they relic it to look old. Best part is that they are wound by ‘MJ’ Maricela Juarez herself, so this will be a perfect match to the MJ wound JBs in both of my Skystangs! - Fender Mustang tailpiece and control plate - Fender Mustang neck plate This was totally unintentional, but this Oranj is gonna end up with a roadworn look with the beat up looking JB & black single coil cover. Plus the tailpiece and control plate are legitimately old and scratched up. Very happy accident! The In Utero tour Stang collection will soon be complete 😍 #nirvana #nirvanaguitar #kurtcobainguitar #kurtcobainmustang #fendermustang by @nirvanaguitars
What if Nirvana played these In Utero songs on Unplugged? #nirvana #nirvanaguitar #nirvanaunplugged #unplugged #unpluggedinnewyork by @nirvanaguitars
What if Kurt Cobain used his Phase 1 Custom Hi Flier on the In Utero tour? That’s what we’re exploring in this week’s video! I’ll be using my 1 for 1 replica of Kurt’s favorite Hi Flier with my recreation of his In Utero tour tone to see what sounds come out. How different would Nirvana’s biggest headlining tours have sounded if this was the main guitar for it? Find out by clicking the video link & bio 🎸 #nirvana #nirvanaguitar #inutero #inuterotour #kurtcobainguitar by @nirvanaguitars
Recently got a grail level piece of Nirvana memorabilia 😭 a drum stick used and signed by Chad Channing! It’s pictured here with a mini poster Chad signed for me years ago In my mind, the Bleach era officially starts the day Chad joins Nirvana and ends the day he left the band. This man is a foundational piece of that “sludge meets garage rock” Sub Pop Nirvana sound. His influence extends well into the Nevermind era, he wrote the drum parts for In Bloom, Breed, Lithium & Stay Away. Plus it’s his cymbal hits you are hearing on the Nevermind version of Polly Chad you are a living legend and you have made my entire year, thank you so much!! 🤩 #nirvana #nirvanableach #bleach #chadchanning #autographed by @nirvanaguitars
