From the Bay Area, to TinyDesk... to the UNIVERSE 🚀 • • • • This month has been overwhelming in the best way. To be playing in the same space that so many of my favorite legendary and admired artists, was just a dream I didn't know would happen so soon. I keep hitting the replay button to tell myself that this really happened lol. For years, I've battled with imposter syndrome, self-doubt, others downplaying or doubting my career, comparing myself to my peers' success, wondering when it was gonna happen for me, and if this was the right choice to live this lifestyle. But this moment made all that talk, out the door! 👋🏽 This is for my parents who sacrificed everything to give me this life, all i hoped for is to make you proud 🥺 My family, friends, teachers, loved ones, the communities who have supported me since the beginning. Just a humble village, and we made it here! The ancestors are roaring! ✨🤎😤 @rubyibarra every moment with you is so special and historical. We are all so proud of you, thank you for sharing our stories and bringing us on this ride! To think it all started from sliding a small water bottle of jameson over to you at a beatrock show 🥃😂 (s/o @carlangelomusic & jameson crew) and the bakunawa npr band, we did that!! 🐉🎶🗣️ All glory to the Divine Creator. It don't stop here tho! We're never done! Next up, SEE YOU ON TOUR! BAY TO THE UNIVERSE! UY PILIPINS! 🇵🇭🤘🏽 📸: @mikeyalejandro @yaredship @nprmusic #nprmusic #nprtinydesk #tinydesk #rubyibarra #bolomusic #uypilipins #pinayartist #milpitas #filipina by @nisa_longga
