Most of the time it feels like the tunnel has no end. Nothing you do seems to move the needle. The grind looks the same today as it did last month. But the truth about breakthroughs is that they always feel one step too far away until the exact second they arrive. You could be one day, one decision, one call, one bid, one more conversation away from the thing you’ve been building toward. You just can’t tell from where you’re standing right now. That’s why WE keep moving! #WakeupPrayHustle for your loved ones!! There was a version of me who would have given anything to stand where I’m at today. I don’t think about him enough. The guy who was hoping we’d have enough sales to cover the next inventory order, then wondering if the next job would come through, who didn’t know if the pull back was ever going to work, who would have taken a fraction of where I’m sitting right now and called it a win. That’s the thing about chasing. You move the line as soon as you cross it, and then you’re standing in the middle of a prayer you already got answered without noticing. I’m grateful. Not in a vague way. For the specific dirt under my feet in this clip, for all the people who are on my team that make this all possible, for the trust and respect we’ve earned over the last 10 years, and the growth curve we’ve been on… most days, I can’t believe how far I’ve come. #WakeupPrayHustle for your loved ones!!

Microsoft just offered buyouts to 60,000 people. More than a quarter of the company. Nobody’s offering a buyout to the guy in that trench. BLS has construction management growing 9% over the next ten years against 3% for all occupations. The trades are looking at roughly 443,000 openings a year once you count retirements. We spent twenty years telling kids this was the backup plan. Turns out it’s the plan. Dirty hands, clean money. #WakeupPrayHustle for your loved ones!!

NV Team is growing fast. Hoping to fill the entire parking lot at my gas station by next year and not just every pump. #WakeupPrayHustle for your loved ones!! The fastest way to lose your best people is to grow the company without them growing with it too. One of our longest tenured guys at NV Construction just got the keys to a new Tremor F150 this week. A year ago he came in as a superintendent on the hardest stretch of our first Braums build in Longview. He stepped up, put in the hours and effort. Never complained. Then took the next one as a solo super with Peyton as his PM where they both built it under 5 months. We promoted him to PM the Braum’s Team and build the next one in Arkansas with his own Supers. Now he has two more under management, with a few more in the pipeline. The record build times he helped set on those Longview jobs are the reason Braums invested even more in NV as one of their main GCs and why people call us for their own QSR builds. One guy’s effort and trusting in the NV way opened an entire national account…with a lot more coming! That’s what rewarding good people actually looks like. You don’t do it because it’s generous. You do it because the people who help you compound deserve to compound with you. That’s the NV Way. #WakeupPrayHustle for your loved ones!!
