Our 2026 End of Season Awards Night was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our players and everyone who contributed to another year of Knights football. But it's the little details that help make an evening feel special, and we wanted to give a proper shoutout to two local businesses who went above and beyond for us. ๐Ÿ’ก @illumin8ed_letters A massive thank you to Illumin8ed Letters for providing the stunning illuminated N.K. letters that helped transform our awards venue! They made a fantastic centrepiece for the room and added that extra touch to our celebrations. If you're planning a wedding, birthday, awards evening or special celebration in Northamptonshire, be sure to check them out. Their illuminated letters are a brilliant way to personalise your event and create a real focal point for your guests. ๐ŸŽจ @threadedgirls Threaded Girls have supported the Knights with merchandise throughout the year, but they really pulled something special out of the bag for our awards evening. They created beautiful personalised MVP mini helmets, complete with custom vinyl logos, giving our award winners something unique to take home and treasure. If you're looking for personalised gifts, custom merchandise or something a little different for a special occasion, give Threaded Girls a follow and check out their work! We're incredibly grateful to both businesses for helping us make the evening memorable for our players and their families. SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESS ๐Ÿค We're always looking to build relationships with businesses across Northamptonshire, whether through sponsorship, event partnerships or supporting each other's work. If your business would like to get involved with Northants Knights Academy, we'd love to hear from you. Please show both businesses some love and give them a follow! by @nknightsacademy
Following our U19 celebrations, it's time to recognise our U16 award winners! What a season for this group. From overcoming a difficult start to finishing 3rd in the National Plate and 7th in the country, these young Knights gave us plenty to celebrate. ๐Ÿˆ Offensive MVP | Carter Eady Carter broke free this season, earning a starting receiver role and making it his own. His catching ability impressed, but his aggression and willingness to block in the run game made him invaluable to our offence. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Defensive MVP | James Havens Unfortunately away on holiday, James couldn't collect his award. But what a rookie season! An immediate impact in the secondary, combining strong run defence with lockdown coverage. ๐Ÿ“ˆ Most Improved | Myles Jubane A move to defence unlocked a new level of confidence. Myles kept his infectious personality but showed a serious, determined side on the field, producing some huge plays at defensive back. ๐Ÿ’ฅ Cayden Greet 'Bam Bam' Award | Tommy Walsh A human freight train! Every touch carried the threat of a huge collision. Tommy ran through tackles like bowling pins and delivered some enormous hits on defence. A fitting winner of an award honouring our much-loved Bam Bam. โค๏ธ Jay Dhesi Award | Bradley Gill Presented by Wullie Docherty in memory of his former player Jay Dhesi. Bradley demonstrated tremendous heart and character throughout the season, alongside some excellent performances at wide receiver. ๐Ÿค Players' Player | Sam Murat A player who could've collected several awards. Linebacker captain, defensive leader, scout-team quarterback and mentor to our younger rookies. Sam did everything asked of him and earned the ultimate recognition from his teammates. ๐Ÿ† Team MVP | Logan Perkins Formerly a defensive back, Logan made the full-time switch to quarterback and stepped up brilliantly. Taking responsibility for leading the offence, LP17 became a driving force behind the team's success. Congratulations to all our winners! ๐Ÿ‘ And thank you to every player, coach, volunteer, parent and supporter who helped make 2026 such a memorable season. by @nknightsacademy
Last night we came together to celebrate our 2026 season and recognise the players, coaches, volunteers and families who made it possible. A huge congratulations to our U19 award winners! ๐Ÿˆ Offensive MVP | Olly Keeber When the team needed him, Keebs stepped up at quarterback. Providing vital stability under a new Offensive Coordinator, he battled through every game and did everything possible to move our offence forward. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Defensive MVP | Rocky Murtala An absolute menace in opposition backfields. Relentless against the run and pass, Rocky brought a new level of physicality and ruthlessness in 2026. ๐ŸŒŸ Rookie of the Year | Tam Alaoye Arriving halfway through the season with zero experience, Tam made an immediate impact. He quickly became an anchor of our offensive line and helped transform the team. ๐Ÿ“ˆ Most Improved | Tom Elliott Patience and hard work rewarded. Tom earned his starting spot, established himself as WR1 and delivered career-high receiving yards and touchdowns. More to come in 2027! โค๏ธ Jimmy Jay Spirit Award | Riley Mooney-Ismael Recognising heart and fighting spirit in honour of our former coach. Riley overcame challenges on and off the field in his rookie year, showing remarkable dedication and resilience. ๐Ÿค Players' Player | Rocky Murtala A second award for Rocky! Voted for by his teammates, recognising his dominant performances and leadership as a first-year captain. The ultimate respect from your peers. ๐Ÿ’ฅ Cayden Greet 'Bam Bam' Award | Tam Alaoye Presented in memory of our much-loved Cayden, this award celebrates fearless, physical football. Tam's devastating blocks and countless pancakes made him a fitting first recipient. ๐Ÿ† Team MVP | Tom Clayton An incredible servant to the Knights. In his final season, Tom played TE, QB and even DL whenever needed, travelling from Bristol to represent the team. A selfless teammate who gave everything. Congratulations to all our winners, and thank you to everyone who contributed to the season and made last night's event possible. U16 winners coming next! by @nknightsacademy

โ€œWe'll let our performances do the talking.โ€ New U19 Head Coach Jamielee Eady has a clear idea of what he wants from his Knights in 2027. In his first exclusive interview since taking charge, Coach Jay discusses the responsibility of leading a programme he's been part of since the beginning, the lessons learned from years on the coaching staff and the standards he expects from his players. From building a physical, disciplined team to developing young men beyond football, Jay speaks openly about his ambitions for the next chapter of the U19 programme. Northants Knights are pleased to announce the appointment of Jamielee Eady as our new U19 Head Coach. Following Jack Oโ€™Beirneโ€™s decision to step down from the role at the end of the 2026 season, the club has spent time looking internally at who should take responsibility for leading the programme into 2027. For us, the answer was already in the building. Coach Jay has been part of the Knights from the beginning and has played an important role in shaping what the programme has become. Most recently serving as our Offensive Coach, he also oversaw the offence during our 2022 Championship-winning season. He knows the club, he knows the players and, most importantly, he understands the standards and values we expect from anyone who represents the Knights. Weโ€™re excited to see Jay put his own stamp on the U19 programme as preparations for 2027 begin. Full article available on our website. Congratulations, Head Coach Eady. ๐Ÿ‘ by @nknightsacademy

This year will also see the presentation of the first Cayden Greet โ€œBam Bamโ€ Award, created in Caydenโ€™s memory and awarded for the Biggest Hit of the Year. Away from the awards, weโ€™ll have games and a huge raffle running throughout the evening with some brilliant prizes up for grabs, including: ๐Ÿˆ Signed Mike Rozier jersey โ€” 1983 Heisman Trophy winner ๐Ÿˆ Signed Anthony Waters jersey โ€” Super Bowl XLIV winner with the New Orleans Saints ๐Ÿˆ NFL mini helmets ๐Ÿˆ NFL trading cards ๐Ÿˆ Plus plenty more on the night Players, families, friends and everyone connected with the Knights are welcome to join us as we get together one last time to celebrate the 2026 season. ๐Ÿ“… Saturday 24 October ๐Ÿ“ Wellingborough RFC A night for the whole Knights family. Tickets available now. by @nknightsacademy
With the season now officially behind us, weโ€™re giving the players and coaches a well-earned break. Thereโ€™ll be no team practices for the remainder of the year, with the Knights returning to the field in January. For now, itโ€™s time to enjoy the offseason, watch plenty of NFL football and recharge after a long year. Behind the scenes, though, the work on 2027 has already started. Weโ€™ll be using the next few months to put everything in place to make next season even bigger and better for the Knights. Enjoy the break. Enjoy your football. Weโ€™ll see you in January. 2027 loadingโ€ฆ by @nknightsacademy
It is with immense sadness that we share the passing of former Knights player Cayden Greet. Cayden was part of our programme at both youth and junior level, and anyone who shared a field with him will remember exactly how he played the game. A fearless, hard-hitting player who earned the nickname โ€œBam Bamโ€, but someone who always seemed to play with a smile on his face and was, above all else, a brilliant teammate. He was part of our division-winning U16 team before progressing into the U19 programme, following in the footsteps of his older brother Jack. Last season, Cayden was able to continue his football story at adult level, sharing the field with both Jack and his dad, Matt. Cayden grew up as part of the Knights family, and his memory will always have a place here. Beginning at this yearโ€™s Awards Night, we will introduce the Cayden Greet Biggest Hit of the Season Award. It feels only right that โ€œBam Bamโ€ will continue to be part of the game he loved and that future Knights will learn his name and what he meant to this club. To Caydenโ€™s family, his friends, his former coaches and every teammate who had the privilege of playing alongside him, we send all of our love and deepest condolences. Once a Knight, always a Knight. Rest easy, Bam Bam. โค๏ธ๐Ÿˆ by @nknightsacademy
Competition period got loud at practice ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Put a winner and a loser on every rep and the intensity changes quickly. Teammates competing, challenging each other and refusing to give an inch. High energy. Physical. Competitive. Exactly how we want it. Because when the standard goes up in practice, everyone gets better. by @nknightsacademy
A day that brought the curtain down on a season this group can be incredibly proud of. Two games in Staffordshire, plenty of rain, plenty of physical football, and one final performance to remember as the Knights finished 3rd in the National Plate and 7th in the country. More than the results, these are the moments weโ€™ll remember โ€” teammates competing together, supporting each other and enjoying one last gameday as the 2026 U16 group. A few of our favourite shots from the weekend. ๐Ÿ“ธ @mikesgotacamera by @nknightsacademy
