WELCOME HOME!🤍 If you’re new here and would like to get connected with us at New Life Community Church, here’s a simple how-to guide on how you can do so. We would love to have you join us and we look forward to seeing you soon!👋🏼 by @nlccsg
“I WAS DEAD FOR 20 MINUTES” Melvyn turned his back on God. But an incident in 2019 reminded him that God will always be with him, as He would be with every single one of us, no matter where we’re at. For the goodness of God knows no bounds. ‘For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate. Luke 15:24 (ESV) We would like to extend an invite to you, to come and experience the goodness of God for yourself! We can’t wait to see you. Why is it so hard to let go of the hurt? Because we’re afraid. Afraid that if we don’t punish them, no one will. Afraid that justice won’t be served. Afraid that we’ll get hurt again. But a mature heart doesn’t need to destroy an enemy to find peace. 🕊 “Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.” (1 John 4:18) by @nlccsg
Maybe you're waiting for an apology that may never come. When they change, then I'll forgive. But what if they never do? Maybe our prayer shouldn't only be "God, change them." Maybe it's also "God, change me." 🤍 "Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others." (Colossians 3:13) by @nlccsg
Betrayed by his own brothers. Sold. Falsely accused. Jailed. When Joseph finally had the power to get even, he didn't. Forgiveness is when revenge becomes possible, but you choose not to. 🕊️ "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people." (Genesis 50:20) by @nlccsg
She was just a shy person at a gospel rally. That night she stood up, walked to the front, and gave Jesus her whole heart. The weight lifted. She was finally home. You don’t have to fix yourself first. Come as you are. 🤍 “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) by @nlccsg
The walls of Jerusalem weren’t rebuilt by one person. Goldsmiths. Perfume makers. Rulers. Priests. All standing side by side. And when the threats came, they worked with a tool in one hand and a sword in the other. Every one of us is a different brick. Keep building. 🏗 “You are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple.” (1 Peter 2:5) by @nlccsg
Hands lifted. Hearts open. 🙌 There was something special about worshipping together. Voices joining as one, and God meeting us right where we are. 📖 Psalm 100:2 (NLT) “Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.” by @nlccsg
God gave David the blueprint for the temple. Then told him he wouldn’t be the one to build it. David didn’t walk away. He spent his last years storing up gold, silver and cedar for a house he’d never see. What are you setting aside for the ones who come after you? 🧱 “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit.” (John 15:16) by @nlccsg
God’s love is relentless. 🤍 Hosea’s story is one of betrayal and heartbreak, yet God told him to love his wife again. That’s how God pursues us. He doesn’t love us because we’re faithful. He loves us because He is faithful. 📖 Romans 5:8 (NLT) “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” If you’ve wandered, He’s still calling you. Come home. 🙏 by @nlccsg
Secure in who He says you are. 🤍 Three prayers for identity and security: Help me understand Your love. Teach me to come to You without fear. Help me believe You see me through Christ. 📖 1 John 3:1 (NLT) “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” Take a moment to pray through these slowly. Save this post and come back to it this week. 🙏 by @nlccsg
It may not make sense right now. 🤍 But God is still with you. And He’s still working, even when you can’t see it. 📖 Romans 8:28 (NLT) “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Take a moment to tell Him what doesn’t make sense today, and ask Him to help you trust Him with it. 🙏 by @nlccsg
