Our stand had a little ‘glow up’ thanks to the lovely people from @thedogtrainerschool

Our best selling Dog walking gloves are recommended by the Dog Training School and so to showcase this we received a little sign with a BIG message .

Thank you to Helen and Lee from the @thedogtrainerschool and everyone who bought gloves .
We very nearly sold out and took just ONE pair back with us !

But don’t worry we have plenty more in our warehouse to keep more hands warm this winter ❄️

ps 🎁 they make great gifts 😍

With stormy weather and high winds in the UK today, it’s time to tire out the crew with some enrichment whilst safe indoors.

@ancolpetproducts Örva Pine Cone and @nofussfill to the rescue 💨

Firework season means we start making a few little changes to Loki’s routine before Bonfire Night actually arrives.

Walks move earlier, evenings get a little slower and we bring in more licking and enrichment. We use @aniforte_uk (COLLABLOKI10) Calm & Relax Powder with his food and their Calm & Relax Spray around his usual spaces alongside calming music and plenty of opportunities to switch off.

We’re also gently working on sound desensitisation. While Loki is relaxed and busy with enrichment, we play firework sounds very quietly in the background always keeping it at a level he’s comfortable with.

Then as firework nights get closer, the blinds come down, the lounge gets cosy, background noise goes on and his favourite enrichment comes out.

Our faves are - @nofussfill @51degreesnorth @thedogsbutcher (LOKI10) for licking enrichment @lambwolf.co @nutrimentnaturaltreats (LOKI10) @wondersquad.uk (blanket) @amazonalexauk to set routines

None of these things is a magic fix on its own. For us it’s about creating lots of small familiar pieces of a routine that we can carry through into firework season.

Because we’d rather support him proactively than wait until he’s already worried. 🤍

Every dog experiences fireworks differently so always work at your dog’s pace and speak to your vet or a qualified behaviour professional if they’re struggling with noise fear.

What changes in your house when firework season starts?
Save for later if you need ideas to help your pet with fireworks

My two aren’t too bothered with fireworks but they are more set off by people being loud around our back door and drunks 😅

So instead of them fixating about it, I do try set them up for success, give them something extra to do. The @aniforte_uk wet food frozen in toys like the @ancolpetproducts pinecone is perfect for nights like these. I tend to prep a few in one go using @nofussfill and it’s so much quicker and cleaner that way!

With Christmas coming up we’ll also be prepping these for when we have guests over so they settle a little better and offer us some calmer behaviour ✨✨
