These words were spoken during the Hijrah when the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه were hiding in the Cave of Thawr. With enemies searching just outside, Abu Bakr feared for their safety. The Prophet ﷺ replied:

"Do not grieve; indeed, Allah is with us." (Qur'an 9:40)

Allah did not say "I am with you two" (معكما) in the verse. Instead, He revealed "Allah is with us" (معنا), making this reassurance a source of comfort for the entire Ummah whenever they face fear, loneliness, or uncertainty.

A reminder that faith is not the absence of fear, but trusting Allah even when fear surrounds you.

Fourteen centuries later, these words still calm anxious hearts.

A mystery preserved in revelation.

"في كل كتاب سر، وسرُّ الله في القرآن فواتح السور."

— Attributed to Abu Bakr al-Siddiq

Five letters at the opening of Surah Maryam.
Recited for centuries.
Reflected upon by generations of scholars.
Yet their ultimate reality remains known to Allah alone.

Gold strokes on canvas, divine words in the heart.

Indeed, We have granted you abundance.
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice.
The one who hates you is the one cut off.

.

Surah Al-Kawthar teaches that what Allah grants is greater than what this world can take away.
Alhamdulillah for every seen and unseen blessing.

In a world full of noise, I chose to write the name that quiets the heart.
Each stroke carries a whisper of faith, each curve a reminder that true peace isn’t found outside—but within.
Art fades, colors wear away, but what is written for the soul stays eternal. 🤍
