A graphic design, signage, & art studio in beautiful Takoma Park, MD. @jessterk + @diannekirsch

POSTS STORIES REELS

Stopped by my @nbcwashington wall sculpture “Test Patterns” this morning for a quick fix and installation of my name plate. Somehow I always seem to sign my work months later!

➡︎ EAT at MOTORKAT

⚡️The Motorkat neon sign is officially up and glowing! This one is especially meaningful to me—I had the honor of naming the restaurant after Takoma Park’s legendary Motor Cat, reviving her story for a new generation. While I missed the golden age of neon, I’m doing what I can to bring a bit of that magic back to my adopted hometown. This is neon sign #4 in Takoma Park—and counting. ⚡️

Huge thanks to Eric at Sky Neon (my go-to neon partner) for bringing this beauty to life and the unstoppable crew at @motorkattakoma, and @zoster16 for making this happen!

Syntax 01, 02, and 03

Three works that share the same visual vocabulary but speak in different ways. Each one is a sign you interpret for yourself, built from wood, fabric, brass, and neon. The pieces explore how these materials play off one another through structure, color, and light.

They’re on view this weekend only at @umbrellaartfair.

Super thankful to Peter, Ally, and everyone at Umbrella for the opportunity to be part of this incredible show.

We’re so happy with how the new façade at Ocean City Seafood turned out! 🎉

A huge shoutout to MHP, No Plan Press, and the Maryland Department of Housing & Community Development for their support in bringing this project to life. Thank you for helping make our community even more vibrant! 💙

Color. Energy. Movement.🌈🚀

We’re incredibly excited to reveal the artwork for our Launchpad kiosks, designed by Maryland-based artist No Plan Studio.

The playful, abstract figures highlight the people behind the products, celebrating the energy, creativity, and ambition of the entrepreneurs who power The Launchpad. With these bold, graphic panels, our kiosks have been transformed into vibrant works of art that will bring new life and color to Rye Street Park.

Stop by all summer long to shop our rotating Launchpad vendors and take in these colorful new additions to the park. Even on days when the kiosks aren’t open for business, @noplanstudio’s designs bring a pop of color and public art to Rye Street Park. by @noplanstudio

Some prints just look right on a wall, the kind with weight, texture, and a little something that says "made by hand."
@noplanstudio runs century-old letterpresses out of Takoma Park, MD. Bold type, big color, real craft. Their shop is full of prints worth framing. by @noplanstudio
