The best part about visiting this historic game store in NYC was the huge amount of cool collectible RPG stuff in the “not for sale” display cabinets. Childhood vibes for sure! #Ad&d #paranoiaRPG #d&d by @nordheim99

We made the trek up to Nottingham as part of a regular hobby hajj recently. Hope you don’t mind us sharing a few reels of the very impressive dioramas! #warhammerworld #theoldworld #terrainbuilding #warhammer #warhammerfantasybattle by @nordheim99

We kicked off our ten turn narrative Mordheim campaign yesterday here in London. Across the first two scenarios, the various warbands fought each other as they discovered the growing corrupting power of a Necromancer trying to make the cursed city his powet base. Tainted 🦠 wyrdstone shards oozed damaging vapours, a charged monolith 💥 exploded with magical energy, and various 🧌🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟 minions of the necromancer appeared across the tables, harrying the warbands.

The plot will only thicken as the warbands delve deeper into the city and seek to discover a way to stop or deal with the necromancer once and for all! ☠️ by @nordheim99

Brilliant Mordheim evening yesterday as my Reiklanders took on filthy ratmen! It was a seesaw battle, with warplock fire and magical fireballs whizzing across the battlefield. The human warriors struggled with hordes of giant rats, one of the beasts even evading their captain’s desperate parry and armour and taking him out of action. He recovered well however, and the ratmen were eventually driven off!

Let’s make a portable battlemat! Canvas based and pretty easy so far thanks to a great tutorial by @co.rius - we are now just adding some details like tufts and maybe a bit more flock once Amazon delivers the pipettes we need, having discovered a spray bottle is not precise enough. #mordheim #necromunda #terrainbuilding #battlemat #wargameterrain by @nordheim99

A couple of very fun shakeout games today ahead of our Mordheim campaign. The second game was a 4 player scrum with the Skaven defending a pile of warpstone in the middle of the board. Interesting to see how three warbands ganging up on the rats slowly turned on each other…#mordheim #grimdark #cityofthedamned by @nordheim99

Ulthwé endures. We gave up on 40k with the 10th and 11th edition meta rules churn and thought our time with the game was over. First played the original Rogue Trader when big hair and shoulderpads were a thing, and then came back three years ago after a 30 year hiatus. Turns out some friends are rediscovering the fun and magic of lore and story first 40k playing 4th edition, so the Black Guardians will again march to the Song of Ulthanash carrying the memory of Eldrad Ulthran…

Grimm’s Hunters ran headlong into a group of Reikland mercenaries as they were scouting for information and weirdstone in the depths of the cursed city. It was a brutal and sharpengagement with plenty of casualties, near rabid wardogs, failed and successful diving charges, skilled swordsmen, dramatic falls to injury and death. The most dramatic moment happened as the mage the Reiklanders had hired summoned a flaming sword before teleporting himself into battle - only to be shot in the face with a pistol.

It appears a narrative Mordheim campaign is on the horizon. Rumours of a rising necromancer gathering his strength in the cursed city are spreading…

Lots of progress by @thorngraph_ on our Mordheim board, so we decided to share this update reel! Can not wait to play on this board in October. #mordheim #miniaturepainting #grimdark #terrainbuilding #cityofthedamned by @nordheim99

A Mordheim board is being born. Little by little, brick by brick, it’s taking shape, full of promise of future enjoyment. #mordheim #miniaturepainting #grimdark #terrainbuilding @thorngraph_ is at the wheel by @nordheim99
