Meet Nadia! One of the two founders of Northern Nereids. Fun fact: Nadia knows A LOT about dinosaurs! She can also draw them extremely well. We are the Northern Nereids pod! 🧜‍♀️ In Greek Mythology, nereids are sea nymphs that are generally kind and helpful -- even to sailors. Since we are a pod from the Netherlands we thought something more nordic themed would fit it more, so we decided on being Northern Nereids, also because that is a nice alliteration. As we all love the northern lights, we picked that as a theme in our group logo (made by @interfactorfactory). The merfolk in our pod love nature and we want to contribute to clean, swimmable waters for generations to come. So we'll be organising beach and river cleanups from time to time and use our platform to promote biodiversity and nature preservation. With our group we like to go swimming, share (mermaid) art, tips and tricks and hype each other up for our projects! We hope to brighten your day with our content. 💙 #mermaidpod #merpod #mermaidlife #mermaidsforcleanoceans #northernnereids #mermaidlogo #northernlights #dutchmermaids #zeemeermin #zeemeerminnen #siren #sirens #nereids #waternymphs #mermaiding #seasters #mermaidfriends #mersisters by @northernnereids
Meet Evelyn! One of the two founders of Northern Nereids. Fun fact: the siren calls in the background of the selected song are actually Evelyn singing! She joined Katja Moslehner in the studio to record backing vocals. Last summer at Castlefest Evelyn and me had the honor of meeting @blackbriarmusic at @castlefest . The band was so sweet! They all signed our seal coats and Zora even brought her own seal coat because she saw we'd be bringing ours to castlefest! 💕 🦭 💕 Photo by @rvaandrager by @northernnereids
Wonder what creature she had to defeat to make that spear 🤔 // Photo by @awobbels Event/location: @dreamscapephotoevents // #siren #mermaid by @northernnereids

About last weekend 🤩 We had such a wonderful mermaiding with this lovely group! Some of them had never done it before but they picked it up like naturals with our help and supervision. Also, one of these tails is a new Northern Nereid member 👀 can you guess which one? // #mermaids #sirens by @northernnereids
