North Not South usually delivers breakbeat-driven club sets, but for May 9th they’re taking a different path. For EYES WIDE SHUT they’re diving deep into their downtempo catalogue, exploring textured and emotionally resonant soundscapes that move between ambient, experimental and downtempo worlds. Their shared obsession with off-beat rhythms and experimental tonal patterns makes us certain they’re preparing something truly special for the listening room. Let yourself drift into sound, where every note lingers and every moment feels suspended. by @northnotsouth_

Looking back on 10 months of practice and experimentation developing our first live set for the Echonow program by @echoboxradio and @nowhereproductiehuis. After (a lot of) frustration and setbacks, we feel really happy and content having performed it finally at Garage Noord three weeks ago. Thanks to @momanager for guiding us, and to everyone at Echobox and Nowhere. Full set is on youtube now. Also, we’re definitely open to doing this more often so hit us up for bookings on contact.northnotsouth@gmail.com Big love, Jort & Fabian by @northnotsouth_

About a month ago, we visited @onevennn at the @echoboxradio studio for a guest appearance in his Pitch Shift radioshow. Here, we showcased bits of our brand new (and first ever) live set we’re currently working on and talked about our approach to making music, our influences, our struggles, releasing new music and keeping the fun in the craft. Thank you for the talk Andrew, we enjoyed this one a lot <3 by @northnotsouth_
Echonow presents producers @northnotsouth_ . We’re sitting down with Jort and Fabian as they work on their live-set to open the @garagenoord night that the Echonow makers will organize together, plus a little walkthrough of their producer gear and a look at what’s missing in Amsterdam’s night culture. With seven months down in the ten-month talent programme-created in collaboration with @productiehuis.nowhere and @afk020, it’s time to take a deep dive into the course. Keep an eye out: each month we highlight another maker. by @northnotsouth_
