POSTS STORIES REELS

Kes (1969)

Kes is a British film directed by Ken Loach, the story revolves around Billy Casper, a middle class Yorkshire boy son of a single mother and the little brother to Jud Casper who works in the coal mines.

Since the start of the film it's emphasized that Billy Casper is kind of the underdog in this story, his family neglects him, he gets bullied at school and mistreated by his own teachers. When he's not at school he works delivering papers around town to help pay the bills at home, he can't seem to catch a break except for when he finds interest on a kestrel hawk and the idea of training it.

This is a very simple yet entertaining movie with beautiful photography, as I rewatched it recently I realized it has became one of my favorites precisely because of this. It makes you empathize with the protagonist and for a lot of people it will feel relatable.

Few clips from the live concert in Bradenburg Germany (1992) featuring bands: Bomber, Radikahl, No Remorse, Division S, Skullhead and Dirlewanger.

Originally found this footage looking for Skullhead live, specifically. It seems that this is the only captured video of Skullhead live on the internet as far as I know.

Operation Tiger Temple.

(Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua) in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

Tiger Temple in Thailand was built as a Buddhist temple where tourists came to interact with tigers and be impressed by the ironic sight of monks raising tigers.

It started in 1999 when villagers brought a cub for the monks to care for after its mother was killed by poachers. Word spread about the surviving cub, and the government and civilians kept bringing injured animals.

Although there were no permits to profit from the animals, visitors paid an entrance fee and a fee to pet and take photos with the tigers. With its growing popularity, they earned up to $3 million annually, and by 2016, more than 150 tigers lived at the temple.

The problems began in 2008 when several animal conservation groups sent letters to the Department of National Parks, arguing that the temple lacked the resources to properly care for the tigers and the necessary permits for their ethical breeding. They also requested action be taken regarding export and import negotiations with Laos.

In 2015, an investigation was launched that failed to substantiate claims of illegal breeding and trafficking. However, charges were filed for the possession of 38 protected birds at the temple, which prompted authorities to continue the investigation.

In May 2016, the temple was raided by authorities in a thorough week-long investigation. Frozen bodies of tiger cubs were found, along with hundreds of amulets made from their parts, and cub skulls in boxes labeled in English, suggesting they were intended for sale. Although there was no direct proof of the export or trafficking of the animals, it was inferred and assumed based on the discoveries. When the tigers were moved to better conditions by the authorities, several developed an illness due to their weakened immune systems, caused by inbreeding; at least 80 of the tigers died during the rescue. The temple was completely closed, and several monks faced charges for possible wildlife smuggling.

What surely began as an honest sanctuary was slowly consumed by the greed and spiritual mediocrity of those who, ironically, were supposed to guide the rest. by @not.a.fealltoir

An interview to Ana Curra, member of Alaska y los Pegamoides, Parálisis Permanente and Seres Vacíos.

Following the breakup of Alaska y los Pegamoides, Parálisis Permanente emerged, an 80s post-punk band that quickly became one of the most acclaimed acts in the genre, particularly within the Spanish-speaking world. Its original lineup consisted of members Eduardo and Javier Benavente, Ana Curra, Johnny, and Nacho Canut.

Ana Curra and Eduardo became a couple shortly after meeting; regrettably, Parálisis Permanente's discography is not extensive, as Eduardo Benavente died in a traffic accident in 1983. Since I was unable to determine the exact year of this interview, it can be inferred that it took place after Eduardo's passing.

Clips from an interview to Ian Mackaye from Minor Threat. As there was no reference for the footage I found, initially I thought the interviewer was Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth. Turns out this interview is from the Another State of Mind DVD (1984) hosted by Penelophe Spheeris.

Formed in 2011, Caverne was the project of Amertume, frontman of French band Necrópole.

Caverne has an even higher melancholic sound compared to Necrópole, and it feels slower too, the french have a talent for making some depressing ass vocals and riffs, when they can balance the influences without losing the integrity of the genre it gives them an advantage. This project is clearly atmospheric and the riffs are more melodic.

This one only has 3 albums, but the compilation is pretty good too. I think La Fin De Tous Les Chants is my favorite, La Matrice is a beautiful song with captivating riffs.

Some nigga on Metallum said Caverne is boring and that they "splatter a bunch of common tropes and hoping some will stick". Outside the topic of the band, reviews in general are kinda lame in the sense you shouldn't really give it much relevance regardless of who gives them, not even me because I pretty much just write blabbering to add something extra than just general info of what I post.

Sounds obvious but there is really people out there who won't even give something a try because their favorite muhtul gayfluencer gave it some bad Reddit review.
