Onions for a steak sandwich A filthy Gibson while the steak rests Onglet and onions/cheese warming through Some kind of caraway sourdough with English mustard and sauce Béarnaise I think I got the steak just right? Cheesy onions and capers by @not_really_a_llama
Spoopy… by @not_really_a_llama
Filthy Gibson and a kimchi omlette with rice, fish sauce and Thai basil. The first time I made this omlette, I omitted the cheese because lunchtime rush - schoolboy error. The cheese makes such a difference (life lesson). Don’t have a cocktail at lunchtime, folks, tbc. by @not_really_a_llama
Look at Calderdale being all wuthering and that, the big show off. by @not_really_a_llama
I generally wouldn’t on a school night *but* I took a journalist from quite a big national newspaper out to one of our restoration sites today and I think it went quite well… by @not_really_a_llama
Probs gonna give the tops a miss today, yeah? by @not_really_a_llama
Banned online and yet still available on Instagram… by @not_really_a_llama
First pint of the holiday (and given this holiday started on Saturday, I’ve been quite self-restrained. Why, no, NO, I think you’ll find the wine and cocktails don’t count). by @not_really_a_llama
Same walk as yesterday but with kinder weather and without having spent 4 hours in the car (long story). Looking from Barrow Door across to Skiddaw and Blencathra. Causey Pike summit peeping round the frame of Barrow Door. Causey Pike loud and proud. Rowling End and Catbells from Barrow summit. Distant Bassenthwaite Lake (the only lake in the Lake District with “Lake” in its name. No, go and look on the OS map and then we can talk about Windermere. Also, look up the word mere - it’s like saying Lake Loch Ness.) A rainbow with rain spots on the lens. A double rainbow with rain spots on the lens. by @not_really_a_llama
Pillars in the mist… Kidding, even if the vis was 100%, you couldn’t see Pillar from here. I think that’s Hindscarth in the foreground and Catbells at the back*. I said I was going to start posting more outdoor pics, but I didn’t say how bad they’d be. This was windy as well as damp and, weather permitting, I’m about to do the same route again. It probably does you good to get out… *Edit: that’s actually Rowling End in the foreground. by @not_really_a_llama
Walking into Saltaire this morning and this wolfhound(?) was so still for so long, I thought it was a sculpture. by @not_really_a_llama
Haven’t mixed a martini in a while because I’ve been focussing on white negronis. What have I become? Christ. Anyway, filthy Gibson followed by a mutton curry from Hainan (via Singapore) with lime pickle, pickled carrot and daikon, Thai basil and fish sauce. I used to post a lot more outdoor stuff on here; watch this space. by @not_really_a_llama
