🇻🇳Only 1 DAY IN HANOI?!👀

❤️OK SO!! I do truly think Hanoi is BEST enjoyed by strolling through the streets and taking in the chaos whilst people watching and coffee-shop hopping - so I’d always recommend 3 days!

BUT!!!!
❤️If you’re strapped for time, or squeezing in an extra day here before heading off to Ha Giang or Sapa for example; THIS is how I think I’d spend it 😆❤️

💭Let me know what you think!
What would you add? I always LOVE hearing and checking out recommendations!!! 😍❤️🇻🇳

👋🏼 Hiiiii if you’re new here - I’m Paige - @paigeinvietnam - I moved from the UK to Vietnam 2 years ago and post snippets of daily life as an English teacher who loves to travel as much as possible! 🫶🏼🏝️❤️🇻🇳

Itinerary - Hanoi 1 day - What to do - Travel guide by @notesfrom.paige

Lots of people asked how we got Thom from Vietnam to the UK….so here he is to show you!😆💖

I’ve got a full post coming about all the requirements and documents etc as the UK is a toughie to enter from abroad with a pet! 😅❤️

➡️ Huge thanks to Julia and her team at @flyyourtail for help getting the GB Health Certificate and Brenda and her team at “Le Pet Express” mini bus service ❤️

Have you ever travelled abroad with a pet?🐶✈️

hiiiii :) I’m Paige!

💭 I thought it was about time for a bit of a re-introduction…because, despite what my Instagram name suggests, I’m actually no longer IN Vietnam 😆❤️ (I AM gonna change that!!!!😆🩷)

➡️ BUT, I’m very much still Paige - I still love travelling, exploring new places, sharing random pics from my life (and of my dog!) and, since creating this account a few years ago, discovered I love creating and sharing content!

🫶🏼 So here’s a little story about me, why I went to Vietnam, and a little nod to what might be next… #notesfrompaige

✨ I’m not entirely sureee where this account is going so I’m kind of just rolling with what I like and putting it out there to the universe😆 you can probably expect reality of moving home, staycations PLUS unshared “from the archives” style travel guides from across Vietnam and SE Asia 🥰🥰🥰❤️

Let me know if you’ve been here a while or you’re new 🩷

there’s always gonna be a “but….”! 😆🩷

some thoughts I’ve had this week ❤️

November is here and so are those cold dark mornings and evenings everyone warned us we were stupid to move home for 😆🫣❤️

ngl I am finding the darker days tougher…thinking about getting a gradual wake up lamp? Thoughts?💭❤️

hiii I’m paige! i moved back to the uk this summer after 3 years in vietnam - follow along for my travel memories, new favorite finds and the reality of moving home after living abroad ⭐️🩷✈️

Little reminder for everyone else as well as MYSELF!👻🫣🎃

Let’s be honest; there is NO right way to be doing life - just be happy and enjoy yourself as much as possible 😆

coming back home to the UK after living in Vietnam for 3 years was by no means an easy transition…

starting over at 31 felt weird!! we were about to start cooking dinner one evening and realised we didn’t even own a saucepan 😆

fast forward 2.5 months (!!) I do need to remind myself of this sometimes - things take time and it’s only been a little time; but we’re happy and settling in; so I thought I’d share some things I’m hoping to ghost this spooky season!!!!

how about you - what are you ghosting?👻❤️

If Vietnam gave me one thing; it’s a LOVE for coffee😍❤️

and if there’s a lesson to be learnt about Vietnam it’s that the coffee is next level!!! the flavour combinations, the presentation, the coffee shops…😍❤️

here’s a selection of a fewww coffees that live rent free in my head; including where to find some of them!!

let me know - egg coffee yes or no?!❤️💫🇻🇳

autumn vibes going strong 🤩🍂

after 3 years in Vietnam the seasons are hot and rainy, hot and dry, (and a month of FREEZING🫣) I was soooo ready to experience seasons again!! 🥹❤️

honestly at this point (now that we’ve put the heating on) I’m becoming a bit of a convert to an autumn girly 😆

LOVING allllll the colours!!! not gonna lie, it WAS very windy this weekend due to the storms 🫣 but a blustery dog walk in the sun was the perfect start to a cosy Sunday morning ❤️

still haven’t had a pumpkin spice latte though…👀

what I’ve learnt from living abroad?

is that sometimes we reeeeally don’t appreciate what we have ❤️

🫶🏼here’s just a few things I probably took for granted in the UK; until we just didn’t have them anymore!

💭moving abroad forces you to adapt, take on a new culture and way of life - but naturally you miss things from your home country; that you’d probably taken for granted previously!!

of course (!!) there are soooo many things I miss about Vietnam and Asia in general; but it’s also important what we DO have ❤️

anything you’d add to this list? let me know ❤️

and 1 final thought 💭
but that plastic and cardboard you can’t be bothered to sort? we’re privileged to be able to do so ❤️

October in the UK be like 🥹🥹🥹🍂💫☀️🌊

Before we moved back to the UK; weekends like this are what we dreamed of 😍

Cool crisp air, cosy nights in, longgg beach walks, gorgeous scenery…what we didn’t expect were the outrageous sunsets in October?!😍

We spent the weekend in North Wales; only a 3 hour drive away yet it felt like a REAL getaway ❤️🫶🏼

Can’t wait for the next….where to next?!💭⭐️
