My first Senior African Championships,
A painful counter performance to say the least. This isn’t what I came for nor is it what i’m made of or what I worked towards.
So many factors in our sport make it so that you have no control over certain situations, and you must live with the consequences, today was one of those days.
I have full trust in the process, and I feel especially grateful to be surrounded by great people.
Thank you to my amazing club @blr92escrime , my coaches @geoffroylabourier and @coachdenistran , our hard work will pay off soon.❤️

CN de Melun✅
Last National circuit of the season, made it through to second day and finished 40/125 fencers. Happy with my performance and mentality throughout the competition despite the accumulated fatigue from Rio.
Now a week of well deserved rest before starting the last couple of months of hard work to finish off the season, so excited! ✨😼 by @nourmecherek

That’s a wrap on my last Junior worlds.✨
Did not go as planned, losing 15-14 is never fun, but despite everything I am happy to have been able to hold my own both physically and mentally during such a stressful competition. I close this chapter ranked 40th in the world, and even if i was aiming for higher in hindsight the journey was long and hard to get here, so i’m proud.
We finish 16th with the team, my heart is so full from the season we had. ❤️🤍

This last junior season challenged me in ways I could have never imagined, but most importantly it showed me that I am capable of more, that i can dream bigger, aim higher and work harder. I feel grateful and blessed to be accompanied by such an amazing team, who listens, adapts and lifts me up everyday.
I am excited for all the challenges my senior years will throw at me, and so ready to face them! Bring it on!😙✌️ by @nourmecherek
