“THANK YOU.” “FOR WHAT?” “GIVING ME A PIECE OF YOU.” “YOU HAVE MORE OF ME THAN I CARE TO ADMIT.” “HE WAS HER ANCHOR IN TEMPESTUOUS SEAS AS SHE FELL BENEATH THE WAVES”. “TO TELL YOU THAT YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL SEEMED LIKE A LAZY WAY TO DESCRIBE HOW YOU LOOK. “YOU LOOK LIKE A FALLEN STAR.” Where do I even begin?? This was a MASTERPIECE. I loved this story so much more than I thought I would. Firstly, the concept of this world is absolutely fascinating!! It’s so intriguing and unique, I loved how original it was. This was like nothing I’ve EVER read before. This book is what I mean when I say I want YEARNING!!! This book *single handily* brings back yearning and pining and romance at its core. This love story was greater than life. Bigger than anything I’ve ever read. Also, the writing! How refreshing it felt to finally come across a *WELL* written book. This was surprising to me but I thought that the choice to write it in third person was incredibly intelligent to serve the purpose of this story. I think it was perfectly done. Having a narrator tell the story instead of the main character just made everything seem bigger and more epic and I loved it. The magic system and the whole political intrigue in this was so fascinating! I loved the magical elements and how this whole world was build on celestial mythology. I found it incredibly original and refreshing whereas so many other Romantasy books are so much alike nowadays. I’m not over the romance in this book and I don’t think I’ll ever be. The amount of out of this world tension and banter and absolute WORSHIP was incredible. I loved every second of this. I love Enzo and Elara’s love so much. 5⭐️ obviously. *I couldn’t pick just a few quotes I had to put them all in here because they are just perfect* by @noyisreading
REWIND IT BACK REVIEW 🏒🎧☕️❤️‍🩹 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m a shell of the person I once was after finishing this book. I can’t believe this series is over.❤️‍🩹 This book was simply… perfect. I’ve been waiting for Rio’s story since book 1, and it didn’t just meet my expectations—it somehow became one of my favorite romances of all time. Rio and Hallie’s story just felt so much bigger—their history made everything feel so important . I usually don’t love past POVs in books, but in this one? I craved them. Every time I got to one, I wanted more. I could’ve read a whole book just about them growing up together. Liz Tomforde writes in a way I haven’t experienced in any other contemporary romance. Her characters feel so real, so distinct, that you forget they’re fictional. In my head, they actually live in Chicago, and they’re out there right now, living happily ever after. I loved how Rio and Hallie loved each other. How they just knew. No drama, no fuss, no doubt. A fact being stated-they were each other’s. They kept pieces of their love just for them, and it made their story feel even more intimate. Rio might be one of my favorite characters I’ve ever read. He is the most kind, honest and unapologetically himself. His energy radiated off the page. The way he loved Hallie—completely, wholeheartedly, purely—he made so me emotional. I just loved how he loves, if that makes sense. And Hallie. I think she’s such a great FMC. I loved how she always put her values and morals first. How family oriented she was. I loved how hardworking and ambitious she was. How she didn’t fight her feelings for Rio when she realized they were inevitable. And how she knew exactly how Rio needed to be loved. And the epilogue..I was literally bawling. Not just during, but long after I finished it. It hit me: this series is over. 5 books, the most incredible found family, characters who felt like my best friends. Zanders, Stevie, Ryan, Indy (especially Indy), Kai, Miller, Isiah, Kennedy, Rio (especially Rio), and Hallie—thank you. I’m forever grateful for the glimpse of life I got to share with you. 5 stars. Infinite stars. Always.❤️ by @noyisreading
