What makes working with me different.

I am a full service photographer, and what that means is, I don't just hand you a folder of digital files and call it done. I offer frames, fine art prints, and heirloom albums, the kind of pieces that actually end up on your walls or proudly displayed on your coffee table instead of buried on a hard drive somewhere.

That part matters to me. I know how easy it is to let images sit unseen, even when you love them. So I built my offerings around making sure that doesn't happen to you.

Frames, prints, albums, and yes, digital downloads too, if that's what you're after. But the tangible pieces are where I put my energy, because those are the ones your kids will actually grow up with.

If you're tired of trying to figure out what to do with all your images, or tired of them living on a screen instead of in your home, send me a message. You don't have to figure it out alone. by @nstephensonphotography

Hi, I'm Natalie.

I've been a photographer here in Bend for over twenty years and I still love it. I do motherhood, family, and branding sessions, and most of my clients are busy moms and business owners who just want someone to take the lead and make it easy. That's my favorite thing to do.

I've been married for 30 years to my husband, who I affectionately call Mr. Awesome, and he calls me Mrs. Awesome 😂. I'm a mom of two grown boys, one serving in the military and the other studying to become a pilot. I am a proud mama. The black and white portraits of them around my house are the ones that get me every time and sometimes make me cry, remembering how special it was to raise my boys.

I am a plant lady both indoors and outdoors, I love Jesus and love to ski. This year I learned I like to fly fish too, much to Mr. Awesome's delight! We have 2 doggies and a kitty that I adore.

The moment I live for in a session is what I call the heart zap, the moment I know I got it and could go home happy.

Clients tell me sessions were fun, not stressful, even when they think their kids were wild. Some cry when they see the images. That's the good stuff, and it's what makes me so grateful I get to call this job mine.

To the people who have trusted me for years, thank you. It's an honor.

This album is in the parents’ hands now.

Bringing the most precious pieces to my clients’ homes is one of my favorite things I get to do.

It’s printed on photographic paper. The pages lie flat, and you can feel the weight of it in your hands. It’s a work of art meant to be handled and enjoyed. But more than that, it holds those first days together as a family. 🤍

This is why I make albums. Your portraits deserve somewhere to live that isn’t a phone or a hard drive. An album holds the whole session and tells a story, not just one image, and it gets better the longer you have it. Years from now, your kids will sit down with it and see how loved they were.

This is proof of how it felt.

Some families come back every fall, and I love it.

The kids know me now. They’re taller, they’re braver, and they are ready to go. Pretty leaves are everywhere and the light is so pretty. The kids start laughing and oh, the heart zap I get when that moment comes! It never gets old.

Year after year, you end up with a season of your family’s life, kept. Images kept in a folder on a computer don’t do much. I love helping families decide how to enjoy their images, whether that’s artwork for their walls, a framed fine art piece, or an album.

If you’re thinking about what you want on your walls, send me a message.

Santa has a few spots left on his list, and I'm saving them for you. 🎅🏻

The Santa Experience is November 14th, and there are only 6 spots left!

Ten little minutes with the big guy, no stress, no full session required. Each family gets 5 edited digital images, a letter from Santa, and a goodie bag. Want more? You can upgrade to the full gallery and add some nice gifts to give (or keep!). The investment is $375.

I keep spots limited so it stays cozy and easy, and once they're gone, Santa's schedule is officially full. If you've been meaning to book, now's the time. 🎄

A family of five, plus a dog with an agenda of fun. 🎉

Sessions like this might keep me on my toes, but they are magical. Mom and dad just flowed unhurried and unfazed, enjoying their girls. My new phrase has been, I just want this to feel like a date night with your family.

This was just that, captured.

This is the season you’ll want to remember. Not posed and perfect. Just who you are all right now.

I've been photographing this young lady since she was little.

Now she's a senior.

I have two boys of my own, both grown now, so I know exactly how that goes. One day they're digging in the sand as a toddler and then you blink and someone hands you a young adult instead. 😭

Getting to watch her grow up through my camera, all those years of school portraits and family sessions leading to this one, has been an honor. She showed up exactly as herself.

Confident. Ready for adventure. Not even a little nervous in front of the lens, which is rare for a senior session.

And of course, we had the best time. Scroll to the end to her this sweet girl when she was little. 🤍

Most photographers send you a gallery link and call it done. It breaks my heart to see beautiful portraits sit on a hard drive and never become anything.

This is the other way. A wall she walks past every single day. Some days she pauses and just enjoys them. Her girls seeing it all the time, knowing they are so loved.

I design the wall, make frame suggestions based on your decor, and even install it. My clients don't have to figure any of it out alone.

If you're ready for portraits that end up on your wall instead of a hard drive, I'd love to help you get there.

A mama I have worked with before reached out again, this time for a session for her twins and their new baby sister. The request was simple. Her husband loves anything Marvel, and the girls basically live in their Spidey costumes, so we brought that into the session.

It was chaotic in the best way. I worked fast while mom and dad held the girls upside down over their sleeping sister, which is not exactly my usual approach, but that is what made it so fun! Sessions like this remind me that families are not cookie cutters, and the best portraits come from real personalities, not posed perfection.

This is why I love what I do. Whatever your family looks like right now, spidey energy included, it deserves to be remembered. (The image of the leg in the air and the other checking her webs is my favorite. 🫶🏻😂)

A curated gallery of images. It’s part of my process to help you choose your favorites.

Why?

So you’re not scrolling through everything trying to decide alone.

I showed a client of mine 60 images. We narrowed it down to all her favorites. All #33 of her favorites. I mocked up her wall, true to scale, showing artwork of various sizes, in a frame that suits her interiors. It takes out guesswork.

Loved isn’t the same as seen.

You don’t have to figure out what to do with your images by yourself, or guess how they’ll look on your wall. That’s what I’m here for. 🤍 by @nstephensonphotography
