Mi run tings. Tings nuh run mi by @ntiwa.tiwa
Editorial Study @cocoabeanbabyy in the Lundu Track Top x Umsonto Skirt. The Lundu Track Top reimagines the form and drape of the Chilundu, a traditional Malawian garment, through the silhouette of a contemporary track jacket. It is made from deadstock tricot fabric sourced from a local fabric store in Woodstock, Cape Town. The Umsonto Skirt is made from deadstock materials, with its thread layer constructed from rejected deadstock yarn, unravelled and reworked by hand. EDITORIAL STUDY @cocoabeanbabyy in the Gama denim top x Mthunzi denim pants The denim top reimagines the everyday, while the denim pants layered with chitenge draws inspiration from the boxer shorts often worn underneath but intentionally left visible. The denim speaks to contemporary everyday life; the chitenge layer carries heritage alongside it, exploring how what we inherit can remain visible in what we wear today. ntiwa. tiwa X VINTU collab drop Love Is Wicked is a rejection of the love African women are taught to accept. Inspired by the false promises of devotion. For the Scandalous, Radical and Powerful. A celebration and reclamation. Too much. Too fierce. Too loud. Too damn wicked. Sincerely, Your local WW by @ntiwa.tiwa
