RP @momentomcollective : "@acro_connection will be joining us in Portugal for our Balance Residency next August to share some of their magic with us. ✨ From hand balancing to acro and hand to hand this Slovenian duo has an eye for making beautiful shapes. ✨ In the meantime we'd like to share: 7 REASONS TO PRACTICE ACRO YOGA 1. Improves concentration Requiring you to be concentrated and focused in the present moment 2. Encourages you to find your core Utilizing your whole body in varying planes of motion and points of balance. The ability to float and not feel like “deadweight” comes from staying connected from deep within the core. 3. Helps build relationships Unity within partnership promotes deep self-love, an increased empathy for others, and a shared respect for one another's boundaries. Intuitive communication experienced as "knowing" leads to mutually enhancing relationships. 4. Lets you confront conflict head-on Through opposing forces (i.e. push vs pull) you can achieve power through counterbalance, which allows for differing opinions as well as peaceful resolution. 5. Teaches quick decisions making Trains you to master self-control without rigidly attaching to external circumstances, because anything can shift and knock you off your center. 6. Allows you to overcome your fear of falling A huge part of climbing to amazing heights is making your way back down again, and AcroYoga teaches you how to defy gravity gracefully through mindful deceleration. 7. Brings you to surrender You must allow yourself to give and receive in equal proportions. For instance, offering “leg love” to the base (a loving touch in the form of a gentle massage), makes gratitude for yourself and for your partner a living and active part of the sequence. ✨ If you want to intensify your practice with some supported high-flying, circus-style poses, need some fresh inspiration for your yoga routines, or just crave some helpful hands-on assists, AcroYoga will not disappoint." . . A large number of our impact centers continue to create and hold permaculture courses and workshops. For those who wish to understand why, we love this blog post by @ecoversity that explains '4 Ways Permaculture Can Heal the World' !!! "The ethical basis of permaculture rests upon care for the earth – provision for all life systems to continue and multiply, including access by humans, domestic animals and wildlife to resources necessary for their existence, not the accumulation of wealth, power, or land beyond their needs. “Give away surplus” is a permaculture maxim. Observing the general rule of nature – that cooperative species and associations of self-supporting species make healthy communities – permaculture practitioners value cooperation and recognition of each person’s unique contributions rather than standardization and competition." “Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. Every breath we take, every step we take, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh Today take a breath in, a breath out, and feel yourself teeming with life. With peace. With appreciation for this moment. 💜 📷@abeljessejones Impact center: @mysticalyogafarm . . . #gratitudepractice #breathwork #impactcenter #numundo #presence #share2steem by @nu_mundo

Honoring Indigenous Peoples Day 🔥 This day can be used to reflect, to recognize, to respect. How are you honoring the earth? How are you recognizing and giving thanks to those who came before you, to those who knew the land first and lived with it in harmony? Are you listening to the voices of indigenous peoples and the vital role they have always played in protecting and strengthening communities, in protecting resources, in loving the earth and each being on it, in fighting for what is right? “Being naturalized to place means to live as if this is the land that feeds you, as if these are the streams from which you drink, that build your body and fill your spirit. To become naturalized is to know that your ancestors lie in this ground. Here you will give your gifts and meet your responsibilities. To become naturalized is to live as if your children’s future matters, to take care of the land as if our lives and the lives of all our relatives depend on it. Because they do.” ― Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants 📷@raisedbyvolcanoes . . . #indigenouspeoplesday #numundo #honortheearth by @nu_mundo
R E F R A M I N G ✨ We love this whole thread by @soltarahealingcenter on the practice of noticing and reframing toxic thoughts! We can self-initiate this process during ceremony, after ceremony for integration or to help us transition out of old patterns that we may have accumulated or may still be holding on to as we continue to experience the hard times of the pandemic. Rather than ignore toxic thoughts and only focus on the positive, the practice of reframing allows us the transformational tool to accept a new perspective and accept the polarity of our thoughts and how each thought is a possibility ~ how each make us feel. What does your reframe look/feel like? ☄️✨⚡ . . . . #integration #reframing #impactcenter #transformationaltools #numundo #share2steem by @nu_mundo
