Hands Off Our Vote! ✋ 🚫 🗳️ Despite raising concerns from elected officials & election watchdogs, Trump refused international election monitoring, the first time in over two decades. Trump and his billionaire allies are doing everything they can to cling to power, but we can stop them from rigging the outcome of the election by organizing, supporting at-risk voters, and using community power to push back against their intimidation tactics. 👀 We won’t stop paying attention and we definitely won't stop organizing! Here are two ways you can get ready: 🏫 Join the Bay Get Ready Election Defense Training with @alameda_labor! When: October 14, 5pm-7pm Where: 7750 Pardee Lane, St., 110, Oakland RSVP: bit.ly/BGRelectiondefense 📝 Sign the Bay Get Ready Pledge! Intentionally express your commitment for protecting your communities and defending the results! Join thousands who've already pledged, where you'll receive updates, actions, and more. PATIENTS OVER PALANTIR! 🏩 More than a thousand nurses with @nationalnurses took to the streets of San Francisco last week, marching to the ICE Field Office to protest Palantir tech in our communities and to demand our public resources go toward the benefit of working people! Jane from Bay Resistance delivered the final speech 💯 We're letting tech fascists know that the Bay & nurses are ready to fight back against authoritarianism and surveillance. TO PROTECT IMMIGRANT & WORKERS' RIGHTS WE MUST STOP FASCISM! Trump and the billionaire-backed MAGA movement are gearing up to rig the November midterm elections in a desperate attempt to cling to power. If we don't prepare, all workers are at risk, especially our undocumented, disabled, and Black & Brown communities. We must stand together and prepare to act. The fight to defend democracy from an authoritarian power grab can’t be fought in battle ground states alone. The Bay has a plan to Get Ready and fight back. Join Bay Get Ready. Sign the pledge: bit.ly/getreadypledge 📝 What happens next is up to us. We are strongest when all of us show up, speak out, and refuse to be intimidated 🤝 👏 by @nuevo_sol_sf

🚨 Building a more prepared and resilient community! SFLPEC is launching a new pilot with our member organizations focused on family and individual emergency preparedness. Yesterday, we held our first training with staff from five of our member organizations, equipping them with practical tools and information to help their teams, families, and communities prepare for emergencies. Preparedness means knowing how to plan for child and family caregiving, protect important assets, organize essential documents, and have the tools and information needed when an emergency happens. These are skills that can make a real difference when our communities are facing a crisis. A huge thank you to the 5 member organizations @nuevo_sol_sf @medainsf @ellaparatranslatinas @larazacrc @mujeresunidasyactivas participating in this pilot and to their staff for investing in this important work. 💛 Our goal is to bring this training to all 20 SFLPEC member organizations and, ultimately, make these resources available directly to community members. This is just the beginning. More to come!✊🏽 by @nuevo_sol_sf
Let's Dream of a World Without Fear TOGETHER! ☁️ This Tuesday during the annual Dreamforce Conference, we're sending a message, not only to Salesforce, but to the entire Tech industry: cut ties with ICE and stand on the side of democracy. We need you there for this peaceful, priority, mass rally. If you can take the morning off to join us, this is the time. WHEN: Tuesday, September 15, 8 AM–10 AM WHERE: 4th & Howard, San Francisco Salesforce's CEO Marc Benioff has supported San Francisco public schools & increasing funds for homeless services. In this moment of increased authoritarianism & risk of election sabotage, Salesforce can set an example for tech businesses. We’re asking them to follow through on severing ties with ICE and to use their influence again, this time to defend the vote. Join us for a peaceful rally with different members of the community to urge this demand. RSVP in our bio or bit.ly/Dream915 After the rally, security officers with SEIU USWW will join us and lead a short march ✊ by @nuevo_sol_sf
