We had such a great time at the RYC last weekend! Lots of firsts for fencers: first RYC, first time fencing up in an age bracket, first time outside of the home club, first medal, and many more. We loved hearing the stories, so proud of you all! And the legend Rob Nelson, bubble gum, tshirts, balloons, Halloween costumes really made it all special.

Fall RYC has become one of our favorite events of the year thanks to our sponsorship from Big League Chew.
The iconic bubble gum was founded by Portland’s own Rob Nelson who invented his world famous shredded gum while playing for the Portland Mavericks in the 1970s. All participants at the RYC will get free bubble gum, and will have a chance to meet Rob in person. See you this weekend! 🍬

A hardworking high school student with an incredible work ethic, Isadora spent the weekend at the AFM Super Regional in California balancing both sides of the sport: competing and refereeing.
She earned a Top 16 finish in Division II competition while continuing to grow as a referee through lessons, practice, and a constant desire to learn.
We’re proud of her dedication, commitment, and willingness to keep striving both on and off the strip. Keep up the great work, Isadora! ⚔️👏

Huge congratulations to Alistair for taking 1st Place in Y14 Men’s Foil at the AFM Super Regional today! 🤺✨
After finishing pools in 11th place, Alistair showed incredible grit and determination, battling up the bracket to seal the victory with a dominant 15–8 win in the finals!
A massive shoutout to Coach Ioana for being in his corner every step of the way, and a huge congratulations to his amazingly supportive parents and all the fencers who competed today. What a performance! 🎉👏#NWFC #fencing #pdxsports #pdxkids #portland by @nwfencing
