Our store was shaped through a shared way of looking at space and objects and how people move through both. Designed and built by @sectorform, led by the very talented @0sheen with a focus on clarity rather than spectacle, and on creating a setting that feels natural to spend time in. @studiolokeshdang @lokesh.dang thank you for the lovely images 😘 The result is a space that opens up gradually and allows the objects and the architecture to be experienced together. Visit us at MG Road, Sultanpur (Opp. Pillar No. 92), New Delhi. “The idea was to design a chair that felt like it had walked in from another era. The space itself was inspired from an ruinous structure, with its overgrown vines, rough surfaces and sense of something being reclaimed by nature. Against that setting, I imagined a group of prim, perfectly composed women from the 1960s: polished, elegant, slightly theatrical, and completely out of place. The reference was the Stepford wife, but with a little more personality. A chair that looked impeccably dressed, almost too proper for its surroundings, yet had a strange sense of movement to it. The proportions, the soft upholstery and especially the little ruffled skirt were designed to make each chair feel like a lady in a dress, caught mid-dance or during a high tea. The fabric was deliberately chosen in a deep wine colour, with a subtle sheen that catches the light as you move around the space. It gives the chairs the quality of an evening dress, bringing a little glamour into an otherwise weathered setting. The chair wasn’t quite meant to be just furniture but a character that stood out as perfection within its decaying surroundings.” - Aanchal Goel, Founder @objectry Designed for Lento. by @objectry
