🚨Halal Smashburgers in OC!🚨 @palmsnpatties debuted their hottest new location at The OC Mix in Costa Mesa a few months ago and I am so glad they found a local spot near us to call home! They boast grass-fed & finished halal ground beef from Australia that makes these burgers a clean & tasty fix to add to your rotation. πŸ”πŸ˜‹ I love a concise menu and with only 2 burger options to choose from (add-ons aside), you know exactly what you’re getting into! Although they’re both smashburgers, the Grilled Smash has buns that are toasted on both sides so it adds that extra toasty element to the burger which I was totally a fan of. But the Cheeseburger is probably my fav cuz I love veggies in my burgers to off-set the unctuousness lol. As delicious as the fries looked, we had to skip out since they’re not fried in halal tallow, but perhaps one day! My only qualm would be the bread & butter pickles - I understand why people enjoy them, but tangy kosher pickles are my fav! #halal #smashburgers #palmsnpatties #foodie #orangecounty by @ochalal.co
Brand new Afghan spot in Anaheim’s infamous Little Arabia! I’m always going to be excited about Afghan food as an honorary Afghan lol so I had to see what the scoop was at afghanshams_restaurant πŸ‡¦πŸ‡« As much as I wanted to like everything, I know that being new to the restaurant space will come with its own learning curve. Hence why I gave my notes on the food to the folks there and hope to see improvements as the months pass! They have a huge banquet style space that will be wonderful for hosting small events and I’m hoping there will be a nice Ramadan buffet to come! I got my usuals, chicken and chapli kababs, mantu, and bolani. Mantu was okay, needed more yogurt and mint and less black pepper. Chapli felt like a beef pakora since it was too crispy, and didn’t have any meat to chew. The whole coriander seeds also were a turn off but they’ll grind them moving forward they said! Bolani with gandana was just a no from me, I doubt they made their own wrapper. But the Chicken Kabab and rice were the best out of all of them. Dhood patti chai was also pretty good! I’ll be back to check on them periodically as I do enjoy the hospitality and have hopes for improvement. Try them for yourselves and let me know your thoughts! #afghan #halal #littlearabia #anaheim #ochalal by @ochalal.co
🌟The 1st Hijinx Hotel in America along with a new Holey Moley Golf Club location are officially open this weekend in Irvine! 🧩Irvine Spectrum got a little spruced up with this Australian company’s vision for a whole lotta fun πŸ¨β›³οΈ Now patrons can enjoy an interactive and entertaining space the next time they visit with interactive Challenge Rooms, Karaoke, a Speakeasy and nostalgia themed Mini Golf. I quite literally stumbled upon their media night last weekend so I didn’t know what I could access and didn’t get a chance to hit the Challenge Rooms, but will be back soon to give them a whirl! My competitive side needs some unleashing 😜🫟 Here’s to hoping some of their bites will be halal, I mentioned it to someone at the door and perhaps being Australian owned, they’ll know the drill! πŸ€— #hijinxhotelirvine #holeymoleygolfclubirvine #irvinespectrum #minigolf #karaoke #speakeasy #hijinxhotel #holeymoleygolfclub #oc #irvine #thingstodoinoc #challengeroom #escaperoom by @ochalal.co
The freshest HALAL pizza & pasta in San Juan Capistrano! πŸ•β€οΈβ€πŸ”₯ @pizzaamorecafe has been a tried & true fantastic pizza find since the pandemic! Everything except the chicken wings is halal so you can have your choice of some of the yummiest pizza, salad, pasta and sandwiches the next time the craving strikes (probably today 🀭) πŸ•I was in carb-heaven, but the meats really brought every cheesy dish to life! I’m a white sauce lover, and was thrilled to see that they had a white garlic sauce base for the San Juan Ranch pizza. Combined with chicken tenders & chunky artichoke hearts? I was sold! πŸ• Amore Supreme is the perfect balance of fresh & meaty goodness! πŸ§…πŸ«’πŸ«‘s are standard additions for any regular pizza I choose, and I think this combo is the perfect crowd pleaser 🀀 πŸ• For variety, another classic is the BBQ Chicken. You know what you’re getting into from the jump, but the execution is so much better than you could imagine! Sweet & savory with a hint of a kick when you add those chili flakes! 🍝 If you’ve been craving comforting pastas, the Palermo Lasagna and Chicken Mushroom Alfredo Penne are a must! Simple enough, but loaded with cheese & packed with delicious flavor through and through! I genuinely enjoy the atmosphere and menu at Pizza Amore, and I can’t wait to hear what you think too! *There is alcohol on the premises, eat there at your own discretion. #pizzaamorecafe #halal #halalpizza #halalpasta #sanjuancapistrano #explorepage #orangecounty #halalfoodblogger #zabihah #calzone #alfredo #pasta #foodie #ocfoodie #lafoodie #lunchspots #dinnerideas #mustvisit #reels #dateideas #musttryfood #appetizers #restaurants #socal #comfortfood #summer #food #foodblogger #pizza #lasagna by @ochalal.co
