💜NEW EPISODE NOW STREAMING💜

It’s a special one 🫶.

There’s a big show coming up in NJ this Sunday. It’s a benefit show for an ‘ONE OF OUR OWN’ and the lineup is stacked! There is a lot of history between the NJ bands on the bill, which is a mix of amazing current, recently reunited, and soon to be reunited bands.

We brought on some of the members of these bands to give us a rundown of the scene from the early days through now, share how their bands fit in, and what this upcoming show means to everyone involved. This was less of an interview and more of an exclusive front row seat to old friends reminiscing.

Expect nostalgia, connection, and a good fucking time.

Now streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube. See bio for links.

PS- tickets for the show are LOW and can be purchased here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/catch-22-the-doomstompers-the-derringers-day-19-take-warning-more-tickets-1997514506661?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

Can’t make the show? You can still make a difference. 💜

ONE OF OUR OWN is about showing up for the Gunther family as they navigate an unexpected, life-changing challenge and prepare for their daughter’s future care and needs.

To protect their children’s privacy, the family is keeping the details private. Thank you for respecting that and supporting them.

Sorry that this announcement was kept under wraps a little longer than planned, but when we reached out, there was no hesitation.

We’re excited to welcome THE BEST OF THE WORST to Benefit for EJG show @ Crossroads in Garwood.

This event is a celebration of how this scene has always been a family and will always be there for@each other. The Best of the Worst are firmly rooted in the Catch 22 branch of this enormous family tree. When we asked them to be part of a night to help out one of our own, they didn’t hesitate.

You will not want to miss this band! So grab your tickets before they’re gone!

Sunday, October 11th at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ. Doors open at 12pm. Catch 22, The Doomstompers, The Best Of The Worst, The Derringers (reunion), Day 19, Take Warning (OpIvy/Rancid tribute)…and more to be and more to be announced! - #skapunk #catch22 #aloneinacrowd #rarediseaseawareness #ska

PUNX IN RECOVERY - AUGUST 27 - 8PM -
THE PUNK ROCK MUSEUM

Our next PUNX IN RECOVERY meeting will be part of an incredible night at The Punk Rock Museum.

The day begins with Jamie Egan (Catch 22 / Streetlight Manifesto) and Kevin Gunther (Catch 22) leading a guided museum tour, including an intimate 3-song performance in the Pennywise Garage. Tickets for the tour are available on the museum’s website.

That evening, we come together for a special screening of Misfit Mentor, a documentary following Jamie through family loss, mentorship, retirement and the pursuit of another chapter in music. The themes of perseverance, purpose and figuring out what comes next connect deeply with the conversations we have in recovery. EVENTBRITE LINK IN BIO.

THE FULL RUNDOWN
2 PM - Guided Museum Tour*
Approx. 2:30 PM - 3 Songs in the Pennywise Garage*
6 PM - Misfit Mentor Screening
7:30 PM - Q&A right after the screening with Emmy-winning director Neil Garguilo & cast
8 PM - PUNX IN RECOVERY – After the Q&A UPSTAIRS which gives us a bigger room to fill with all that WE are!

REGISTERING FOR PUNX IN RECOVERY INCLUDES COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSION TO THE 6 PM MISFIT MENTOR SCREENING.

After the film, stay upstairs for the Q&A and right after, at 8 PM and pull up a chair for PUNX IN RECOVERY meeting.

Through PUNX IN RECOVERY, PUNX4CHANGE and the Punk Rock Museum, we continue finding new ways to connect punk, service, recovery and community under one united front.

We’re proud of what this partnership continues to grow into. Simply put TPRM has been an AMAZING partner.

Different paths. Same community. A new chapter worth showing up for.

📍The Punk Rock Museum
🗓 Thursday, August 27
🕗 PUNX IN RECOVERY - 8 PM - Upstairs after the screening

Covington/Cincinnati

We have some incredibly frustrating news. Last Friday, we learned via social media that our Covington venue was suddenly closed down, effective immediately. Because of this, tomorrow night’s show is officially canceled.

We tried everything to save it. While we found a few alternative venues, moving the show would have forced anyone who already bought a ticket to buy another one while waiting for a refund from the original venue. We didn’t think it was fair to put that financial burden on you on such short notice.

For all those who purchased tickets to Madison Live, we are told you will be receiving an automatic refund from Ticketweb. We are so incredibly sorry about this—the situation was completely out of our hands, but we’re gutted we won’t get to see you tomorrow.

If anyone is interested in making the journey south to St Louis, West to Chicago or East to Pittsburgh let us know! We can help a few of you out with some tickets! These are limited so first come first serve!!

Thank you for understanding. We’ll make it up to you, Covington. ❤️ by @jeffdavidson
