“This is the Lord’s doing, and it is wonderful to see.”

At Tag Ng, our mission has always been clear: to build a generation of young Africans equipped with the tools, mindset, and skills to shape a better future. In a world increasingly driven by data, we recognize the importance of empowering our youth with the ability to understand, analyze, and communicate insights from data.

That is why we are proud to announce our ongoing partnership with DataCamp, a leading global platform for learning data science and analytics. Through this partnership, we are providing 1,500 learners across Africa with free access to cutting-edge courses in data visualization, Python, R, SQL, machine learning, and more.

The impact of this collaboration is already evident. Recently, one of the learners from our network created a powerful data visualization using skills gained through DataCamp. The chart shows life expectancies across countries in 2007, contrasting the highest and lowest global figures. From the visualization, we see countries like Zambia (42 years) and Liberia (46 years) struggling with low life expectancy, while nations such as France (81 years) and Cuba (78 years) sit far above the global average.

What makes this chart remarkable is not just the data it presents, but the story it tells, a story of inequality, of urgent health and development challenges, and of the need for informed action. This is the power of data visualization. It transforms complex information into clear, compelling narratives that drive awareness and change.

We are excited about the stories our learners will continue to tell through data. And we invite more young Africans to take advantage of this opportunity. The tools are within your reach. The future is in your hands.

Stress is a natural response to various demands placed on us, whether they’re physical, emotional, or mental. It is important to note that while too much of stress can be detrimental to our productivity and even our health, a moderate level of stress can actually be beneficial, motivating us to perform at our best.

Remember, a whole lot of things can cause us stress but a proper understanding on how to effectively manage these stressors is crucial to achieving optimal productivity as humans and believers.

Don’t allow any stressors (events) to weigh you down, but strive to develop a good understanding of these stressors and adopt a healthy coping strategies (response) and now see yourself harnessing stress as a motivational force to enhance productivity and our overall well-being (outcome).

The act of giving holds profound importance in the tapestry of human connection and societal well-being. When we give, whether it be our time, resources, or compassion, we create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the immediate recipient. Impactful giving has the power to uplift communities, alleviate suffering, and foster a culture of empathy. It becomes a catalyst for positive change, inspiring others to join in the collective effort to make the world a better place.

Today, we want to seize the opportunity of the #givingtuesday celebration of the Society of American Foresters to sincerely appreciate the efforts of:

1. Dr. Sheng-I Yang an Assistant Professor of Forest Biometrics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville

2. Dr. Krishna Poudel an Assistant Professor of Forest Biometrics at the Department of Forestry, Mississippi State University

3. Dr. Matt Russell the President and CEO of Arbor Custom Analytics, United States.

Thank you for your support.

Truly the significance of impact through giving lies not only in the tangible benefits but also in the transformation it brings to the giver. The act of giving opens our hearts, cultivating a sense of gratitude and fulfillment. It connects us to a shared humanity, reminding us that we are part of something larger than ourselves. In the selflessness of giving, we discover a profound purpose, and through our impact, we contribute to a legacy of kindness and compassion that endures long after the act itself.

As a way of to be a part of the #givingtuesday, we will be giving a $100 support grant to forestry students that are specifically from Africa. See the flyer for more details. by @official_tagng
