A little date with 1,400+ years of Korean history. 🇰🇷✨

So I went to Iksan and visited the Mireuksa Temple Site (미륵사지), one of the historic sites from the ancient Baekje Kingdom and now part of the Baekje Historic Areas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Mireuksa was once one of the largest Buddhist temples in Baekje, but honestly, the Mireuksaji Stone Pagoda was what caught my attention.

This pagoda dates back to the 7th century and was actually built in stone to imitate the structure of a wooden pagoda. And when you look closely, you can really see those details in the way it was constructed. It was originally believed to have been nine stories high, although only part of the original pagoda survived.

It’s also designated as one of Korea’s National Treasures.

So basically, I thought I was just going to take cute pictures in front of an old pagoda, meanwhile I was standing in front of a piece of 7th-century Baekje architecture. 😭😂

I think one of my favourite things about exploring Korea, is you can literally turn up somewhere for the views and leave accidentally learning a whole chapter of history.

History really is everywhere here. 🤍🇰🇷

Honored to join the NSA delegation on a courtesy visit to Her Excellency, Professor Nora Ladi Daduut, Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Korea. A distinguished academic and former Senator.

Her Excellency’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Nigeria-Korea relations.🇳🇬🤝
A proud moment for the Nigerian community in Korea, and a hopeful step toward deeper ties ahead.

Facing my fears, each adventure at a time
Who would’ve thought I’d voluntarily leave the ground? 😂🎈☁️

Turns out growth looks a lot like doing things that scare you, and then wondering why you didn’t do them sooner.
Still scared of heights though. Baby steps. 😂

A few days of learning, networking, storytelling, and learning how content marketing works in this part of the world.
