I'll yell it from the mountain tops - when it comes to toddlers, simple is best!
•
This is just peeling pieces of tape and placing them on the page to create turkey feathers. I guided with placement here and there but it's not about how it looks when it's done, it's more about the skills that are being developed in the process (fine motor, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, language, vocabulary, etc).

•
This case of markers my son is using are the dual tip Mondo Llama markers from Target.☺️
•
We don't use them anymore and prefer the thin Mr. Sketch markers instead (though there aren't as many colors).

We have loved using these cases when we need a quick activity to kill time during a meal prep, to grab for on the go, or to use as a rotation in a morning bin.

Today was all about pumpkins with a focus on the letter P! We worked on building the letter P, finding it in our pumpkin activity, tracing letters, counting pumpkin seeds, and practicing reading sentences together.

We read the autumn story from Little Witch Hazel: A Year in the Forest and Stumpkin for some cozy fall reading, then brought out our pumpkin and leaf sensory bin for some hands-on fun! Stacking the little pumpkins was a favorite!

We wrapped up our day with a little more learning from our @thegoodandthebeautiful curriculum.

A sweet mix of books, hands-on activities, and learning through play. I love finding little ways to make our lessons feel fun and seasonal! 🍂🤎

Huge shoutout to @ohheyletsplay for the incredible fall themed workbook! I have really@loved using these seasonal pages alongside our Preschool curriculum!

I get it! We've been doing learning journal activities in our home since 2020 and my kids would just fly through them every time because they love them so much.
•
On the days I didn't get time to prep pages and they were begging for an activity, or the days we flew through what I did have prepped, my reusable activity books have saved the day!
•
Same style of playful, hands-on learning fun but zero prep involved aside from grabbing a dry erase marker or maybe a couple manipulatives.
•
My activity books are professionally printed, spiral-bound, and laminated by a commercial printing company and each activity was intentionally created to be a beneficial learning experience for children ages 2.5-6.
•
As we approach November, my fall themed book will be leaving the shop soon and will be replaced with winter themes! To close out the season, I'm throwing a 15% off sale this week through Saturday 10/31 on my fall activity book.
•
This book includes Thanksgiving activities too so it can easily carry you through the end of November! If you want to finish the fall season spending more time prepping for the holidays and less time prepping activities for your littles, this is the perfect opportunity!
•
Maybe your child is too young for these activities but next year they will be the perfect age - grab your copy this week and future you will be so thankful!
•

If you're going to make a candy corn shapes stencil you might as well put it to good use and create pages for all your kids to do together!
•
A couple of my favorite things about learning journals:
1. They make for the sweetest keepsakes
2. They are adorable for different ages
3. Multiple aged children can do them at the same time
4. They can help teach a variety of different skills
5. They can be geared toward your child's interests
•
The list goes on! I'm a former kindergarten and preschool teacher and have been creating and sharing learning journal activities for my 3 kids since 2020. I've never once regretted it!

The best toddler journal activities are the ones that involve dot stickers and dot markers and require only the simplest instructions!
•
Peeling and placing dot stickers is so good for building fine motor skills and little ones are also working on naming and matching colors along the way.
