What causes weight gain?

Answer coming, but first....🔈

You might not be able to tell, but we both have been on this transformation journey. 🙏🏿

Weight gain can be influenced by various factors, and it's often the result of a combination of multiple causes. Here are some common causes of weight gain in people:

Caloric imbalance⚖️: Consuming more calories than you burn through physical activity and metabolism can lead to weight gain. Overeating, particularly foods high in calories, can contribute to this imbalance.

Sedentary lifestyle🦥: Lack of regular physical activity and spending long periods being sedentary can contribute to weight gain. When you don't burn enough calories, your body stores the excess as fat.

Unhealthy diet🥞: Consuming a diet high in processed foods, sugary beverages, and unhealthy fats can contribute to weight gain. These foods are often calorie-dense and lacking in essential nutrients.

Genetics🧬: Some people may have a genetic predisposition to gain weight more easily than others. However, genetic factors alone are not solely responsible for weight gain, and lifestyle choices still play a significant role.

Hormonal factors:♀️♂️ Hormonal imbalances, such as an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), can lead to weight gain. Hormonal changes during menopause in women may also contribute to weight gain.

Medications💊: Certain medications, such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, corticosteroids, and some birth control methods, can cause weight gain as a side effect.

Emotional factors😢: Emotional eating, using food as a coping mechanism for stress, anxiety, or sadness, can lead to weight gain. Mental healt

This picture is the difference between 2 challenges we did and lost a total of 15lbs and built 6lbs of muscle

The challenge has started and the pot is at 700!

You would be at a disadvantage if you started today but you would be only competing against 10 people!

$700 going against 10 people???

I like those odds! Last chance to jump in! by @ola_train300

Made it out to @stlrenfest for their final weekend! ⚔️🏰🍗

Tried to rally a whole crew to join us, but just like last year, 'twas only the three of us! 😂 Guess we're keeping the tradition alive at this point!

Maybe next year we'll finally get the whole kingdom together. Until then, we still had a great time! 🍻👑

🔥 2023 ➡️ 2026: MORE THAN WEIGHT LOSS… THIS IS BROTHERHOOD! 💪🏾💯

I've known my boy Louie (@Moneybaglou) since middle school! We started working together in 2018, and what began as business turned into a genuine friendship and brotherhood. We've created events, made memories, and pushed each other to become better! 🙌🏾

📊 LET'S TALK ABOUT THE PROGRESS!

⚖️ Weight: 257.7 ➡️ 234 lbs (23.7 lbs DOWN!)

🔥 Body Fat: 42.1% ➡️ 32.3% (DOWN 9.8 percentage points!)

💪🏾 Fat Mass: 32.9 lbs LOST!

🏋🏾‍♂️ Muscle Mass: 5.5 lbs GAINED!

But these numbers don't tell the WHOLE story!

Louie was already self-motivated before we started training! He was doing cardio, lifting some weights, and putting in work on his own. When we teamed up, we took things to ANOTHER LEVEL! 🚀

And if you know Louie, you know HE LOVES HIS FASHION! 😂👟 Sometimes the motivation isn't just getting healthier. It's fitting into those designer clothes and looking GOOD at the next event! So we use those moments as motivation too! 🔥

Then came HYROX! 🏃🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♂️ The running, sleds, strength training, and conditioning have challenged BOTH of us! We've also tackled the Lou Mile, City Run 5K, and other community runs. Every mile brings us closer to our goals!

❤️ COMMUNITY MATTERS! Our friends, gym family, and running community have been a HUGE part of this journey. From showing up for 5Ks to pushing each other in the gym, having the right people around you makes all the difference!

We've also focused on nutrition, recovery, supplements, and building healthier habits. Louie has come a LONG way, but his biggest strength is his DISCIPLINE! 💯

I'm not just his trainer. I'm his FRIEND! And I'm proud of the man he's becoming. We've impacted each other's lives far beyond fitness, and I'm grateful to be part of his journey.

2023 WAS THE BEGINNING. 2026 IS PROOF OF THE WORK. AND WE'RE STILL GOING! 🔥💪🏾

THIS IS TRAIN 300! More than fitness. It's friendship, accountability, and COMMUNITY!
