Please keep this little guy in your thoughts 🙏🏼 he was admitted to the animal hospital and will be kept overnight and I’m a mess 😭

Last night as we were celebrating his Birthday, we noticed he was a little low energy but still ate his dinner and treats… we thought maybe he was still tired from this weekend and ended the night early. This morning he didn’t come to me for morning snuggles, in fact he really didn’t want to get out of bed. We went for our morning walk and he immediately wanted to go back home after his potty (which is very unusual for him, he loves his walks) he ate his breakfast and immediately climbed into his kennel. When I went to go check on him he nipped at me. I knew something was wrong.

I contacted the vet and they told me to bring him in. After they monitored him for a few hours they said he needed be transferred to the emergency vet. They suspected either an infection or something autoimmune was happening because he was running a fever and they couldn’t find a source of infection. They took X-rays and blood work and the results were uncertain.

At the emergency vet they stated his fever was going up and they started him on IV fluids to keep him hydrated and started tests… I got an updated call tonight and they ruled out infection and autoimmune but they do think it’s his back 😭 X-rays show that there’s possible spondylitis but will have to be transferred to neurology in the morning for further confirmation and if surgery is needed.

I’m heartbroken seeing him like this. I just want him to recover and be his happy self again 🩵

𝗛𝗲’𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲!! 🩵🙌🏼

Last night, I got to bring my sweet boy home! He’s in much better spirits and has more energy compared to when I had to rush him to the hospital on Wednesday. He still tires out easily, so we’re keeping things slow and giving him plenty of time to rest.

My poor little guy has been through so much. All four paws have been shaved and poked, his belly was shaved for an ultrasound, and his back for a spinal tap 🥺 But even after all that, he’s still my happy, resilient boy 🩵

We’re still waiting on some blood work results, but Oli was stable enough to come home, and I couldn’t be more grateful 🙏🏼 His diagnosis is 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶𝗱-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀-𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀 (𝗦𝗥𝗠𝗔), an autoimmune condition that will require lifelong treatment. We’re hopeful that he won’t relapse, but we’re taking it one step at a time. The road to recovery will be long, but I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure Oli has the best life possible!

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 so much to everyone who has sent prayers, well wishes, and checked up on Oli. Your kindness and support mean more to us than words can express 🩵

A huge 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞-𝗬𝗢𝗨 as well to those who have donated and shared our 𝗚𝗼𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗠𝗲. Your generosity is helping to ease the financial strain as we continue to focus on Oli’s treatment and recovery.

If you can, please continue to 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 Oli’s story to help us reach more people. Every share makes a difference, and we’re so grateful for this amazing community. Thank you for being here for Oli! 🐾🩵

If you missed our stories this weekend, we wanted to share what happened with Oli — and thank you again for carrying us through it. 🤍

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐬

Saturday started with 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬, and when Oli didn’t do his usual 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 for a treat, we knew immediately something was off.

We rushed to emergency care… and honestly, one of the hardest parts was having our concerns initially dismissed 😣

Because the first emergency vet wasn’t familiar with SRMA, the urgency of starting medication immediately for what all signs pointed to being a flare-up didn’t seem understood, and we were essentially being told to wait and follow up with neurology Monday. That was terrifying, because with suspected SRMA, prompt treatment 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬.

We trusted our gut, advocated harder, sought a second emergency opinion, and that changed everything. The second ER recognized the urgency, started pain management 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, and gave Oli the care he needed 🩵

And that’s something we want to share with every pet parent:
If your instincts say something is wrong — 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡. Ask questions. Get a second opinion. Be your 𝐩𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞.

Our dogs can’t advocate for themselves.

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 Oli is brighter, acting much more like himself, and we have follow-up x-rays tomorrow with our primary vet and neurology in two weeks as we keep searching for answers.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 for every prayer, message, share and donation. You’ve carried us through this weekend 🙏🏼

So many of you have asked how to keep helping. If you’d like to support Oli’s ongoing care and diagnostics, our 𝐆𝐨𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐌𝐞 is linked in bio. Even sharing his story helps 🤍

Three little personalities, one Hundred Acre Woof 🍯🐾

Pooh came for the snacks, Tigger came for the chaos, and Eeyore was just dragged along. 🤣

Be honest… which one are you? 😂👇

Hi everyone! 🐾💙

Sorry for giving everypawdy a little scare last week! After my ER visit, I was doing a little better, but then I scared Corg Mom again on Friday when I was a little low-energy. She was worried it could be an SRMA flare-up, but luckily that wasn’t the case and I’m happy to say I’m back to my normal, silly self! 🥰

Thank you all SO much for checking in on me, sending love, and keeping me in your thoughts. It means the world to me and Corg Mom. 🥹💙 I’m very lucky to have so many furiends looking out for me! 🐾

Now back to my regularly scheduled corgi shenanigans. 😌😂 - how do you like this hat on me?

🎉 ℍ𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕪 𝟚𝕟𝕕 𝔹𝕚𝕣𝕥𝕙𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕆𝕝𝕚 🎉

This birthday hits a little differently.

One year ago today, I celebrated your first birthday. The next day, we found ourselves at the emergency vet searching for answers. After countless tests, you were diagnosed with SRMA, and our world changed overnight.

Now, a year later, you’re 2 years old. While we’ve recently faced another flare-up, watching you bounce back and continue to live life with so much joy reminds me just how strong you truly are 🩵

I’m so grateful for every moment, adventure, cuddle, and memory we’ve shared together.

Happy Birthday to my brave boy. I never take a single day with you for granted 🥹🩵

🎁 PS his cousins @benji.the.corgs spoiled him with so many new toys! Also —> swipe to the end to see how he was completely over taking pictures and just wanted his birthday treat 🤭🎂
