Surge Curated Nr. 08 with Oliver Albach

For our eighth edition of the Surge Curated Series we have invited one more integral member of the Surge Team.

@oliveralbach is based in Munich focussing on sound design and on various other projects along his techno endeavours. In this DJ Set he took the liberty to take his analogue drone synthesiser for a spin. Get ready for an hour of loopy rhythms and other oddities.

I can’t believe it’s finally here. I’m beyond excited to share with you “Abeja Descarada,” my first EP on my label, @matterathand.records

The EP is now available in digital formats as well as on 12” vinyl via the Matter at Hand Bandcamp page.

This release is the first snapshot of the musical vision I want to share with you. Brace yourself for sonic exploration — there’s much more to come.

A big shoutout to everyone who helped me make this dream come true. And now, enjoy the snippets provided by my trusty studio assistant and fav four-legged vinyl only DJ, Suki.

As some of you might have already seen, I’ve handed out a few individualized test pressings of MAH01 to friends and artists I admire. I wanted to share a small glimpse behind the process.

The sound you hear is not from the upcoming MAH01 release. Like the previous video, and many more to come, the background sounds are all sonic experiments of mine.

To everyone who received one of these 15 test pressings, thank you for getting in touch and sharing your feedback.

It won’t be long now until I can finally reveal more about the actual release of MAH01.

About a year ago Andre from Analogue Network invited me to contribute a track to the 6th installment of his various artist compilations. In August I had the honor to release my Serenity EP on the label bringing @sylk.techno along with a shaking remix.

Yesterday my track „Molting“ was released on ANVA007.

I’m glad to be part of this viscous collection of tracks, thank you for all these opportunities @analoguenetwork_ua !

In about a week we will be opening our first audio-visual Art Exhibition with @studio.omo.

„The Sacred Space In Between“ will be open for visitation from 09.09.23 - 07.10.23 at @rfdinsel in Innsbruck.

The exhibition features three unique installations between sound, light and reflection.

@arousal___ and I were talking about doing audio-visual art installations for a long time and we are more than happy to be able to make them a reality now.

I’m also super glad to have such beautiful group of people working together with me on @studio.omo.

Today the Serenity EP is coming out on @analoguenetwork_ua. It’s been a while since my last release. This year I’ve been mainly occupied by the work for the exhibition in september with @studio.omo.

Nevertheless I am super happy to announce this release and to be part of such a sweet catalog of releases.

Next to my three original tracks this release also features a remix by my dear friend @sylk.techno.

Shoutout also to my man @arousal___ for this pretty artwork!
