SPOOKY SEASON IS UPON US!

And with it comes this spooky little number - Marz Attackz.

Written last October by Dan and Ollie, it's been mastered and now released just in time to add a little dread to the dance floor this Halloween.

Renegade Soundwave - Probably A Robbery (Mr C Rewire)

Gloves is the project that Ollie and I have been working on for the past year and… THE EP IS OUT NOW.

Me and Ollie have known each other for 18 years and this EP feels like a true reflection of the time that we’ve known each other, our individual influences and styles. I would describe Ollie’s musical style as primarily Dance and House, and mine as Indie and Rock. What we’ve produced sounds like the marriage of those two focuses. We’ve made an EP that I’m proud of and I think that our long term friendship and shared musical interests made it possible due to an understanding that comes through those shared experiences - we speak the same language.

We’ve been meeting up almost every other Wednesday night after work at Ollie’s studio in Bermondsey to write and record tracks since last October. We would approach each session in the same way, we would have nothing other than perhaps half an idea of a melody, a catch line to build lyrics around maybe, and then over the course of two to three hours, we would come up with more or less the final product you hear today. The four songs on the EP are our favourites and most complete from this time. We’ve gone back to polish them off slightly but have tried as much as possible to leave them in the state that they were when originally recorded. We believe that for this reason what we have produced reflects what we set out to do, it sounds like two old friends having fun and making music, not too serious, just trying to make cool sounds.

Thanks to:
Ollie - for everything
Ben Goulder - Artwork
Tom Gillieron - Mastering

This Friday - Marbles MAYDAY.

Parisian house legend D’Julz descends into Brixton.
20:20 Vision. Ovum. Rekids. Circoloco resident - a true pioneer shredding it for decades, still showing us all how it’s done with his bumpin house grooves. He’ll be taking control of the beastly Cheeky System deep into the early hours. Allez!

Start your bank holiday weekend the only way that makes sense...

Final release tickets available on RA. More on the door

Easter Sunday sees bubble heading to @nextdoorrecords_ in Stoke Newington for a special free entry event from 1800-0000.

@real.deal.records co owner and bubble resident @jake_e_hodgkinson invites good friend @olliedrummond for an extended 6 hour vinyl only B2B session taking you into the deeper and groovier corners of their record collections.

South London native and resident for @marbles_music, Ollie cut his teeth at the legendary @wigglelondon parties, playing and producing for the label since his late teen years.

Ollie’s recent release on @palace_vinyl sub label Brixton Row is a hypnotising, modern take, on the classic South London Tech House sound. Check it out !

Watch out for Ollie’s track on a forthcoming bubble release ;) by @olliedrummond
