From a sketch to a visual identityโœณ๏ธ The A.I.R. logotype was designed for an art residency nestled in the beautiful landscapes of Montana. Inspired by modernist typography and geometric forms, the custom lettering brings together simplicity, character, and a subtle architectural feel. Because a good logo is something that lives, moves, and becomes part of a bigger story. During the last year, I've heard a lot from our clients about their desire to have brand templates in Canva so they can quickly create consistent content for their businesses. At first, I was hesitantโ€”why Canva if we already have Adobe and Figma? But the important point is that, as technology evolves, everything is becoming more democratized. One of the key niches today is entrepreneurs and small businesses that want consistent branding but can't afford to keep in-house designers. Canva solves that problem. I was curious to compare the workflows and see how it would work in practice. And that's how this imaginary cafรฉ and bistro social media brand kit was born. It includes consistent branding: font hierarchy, a color palette, hand-drawn illustrations. Everything is here, just waiting for a logo โœจ, and everything is customizable. You can keep the structure and simply replace the colors and fonts with your own. And thereโ€™s no lorem ipsum. Creating brands is a lot like creating imaginary worlds. You invent them, but you create them as if they were real ๐Ÿช by @ollysweatshirt

๐ŸŒ™ A moon symbol on a goddess's forehead, particularly a crescent, is seen in ancient Greek and Roman traditions with goddesses like Artemis/Diana and the personification of the moon, Selene, and in Hindu traditions with goddesses such as Chandraghanta (grace, bravery) and Kali (time, untamed forces of nature). ๐ŸŽ€ Artemis was a kourotrophic (child-nurturing) deity, being the patron and protector of young children, especially young girls. ๐Ÿบ Found on late Bronze Age tablets (roughly 1400โ€“1200 BC), the earliest attested forms of the name Artemis are the Mycenaean Greek ๐€€๐€ณ๐€–๐€ต, a-te-mi-to /Artemito/ and ๐€€๐€ด๐€–๐€ณ, a-ti-mi-te /Artimitei/. #wip #art #painting #contemporaryart by @ollysweatshirt
