istiara:In traditional Swahili culture, metaphors are the backbone of methali (proverbs), used to pass down wisdom, give advice, or criticize behavior (subtly).
.
Istiara example: Asiyefunzwa na mamae hufunzwa na ulimwengu.
Metaphor: a figure of speech that directly compares one thing to another for rhetorical effect. Unlike a simile, it does not use connecting words like “like” or “as”—it states that one thing is another thing to highlight a hidden similarity.
.
.
Light Metaphor: The quality of light by which we scrutinize our lives has direct bearing upon the product which we live, and upon the changes which we hope to bring about through those lives.

Even though I don’t know Arabic either, there is something beautiful in the sound of the women’s voices that made me think of sisterhood, my big sister especially and her energy on a runaway.

Establishing the alias is easy. People believe what they want to believe. My job for the class captain is to observe, record findings (if any) and wait for the shadow to reveal itself. I’m certain this house has already passed the ascension.

We were right. Shadow is plural. Shadow has more than one face. This makes marking Shadow tricky but my class captain has already charted Shadows flight pattern. This is no easy task considering communication is restricted to basic telepathy for the assignment.
.
Her findings reflect the era and if the ancients texts we have available are right , all shadows of this era are cannabilistic. There are two ethical defenses against these types of shadows—force redirection and light flow.

She’s a fast learner ~ our class captain. It helps that she is one of the few who has her pre-ritual vows in tact. The current trend is to exchange them for rings. This is silly since we don’t respond to those rings but it helps to remember that mthe chart never lies.
.
We are almost sorry for the mess the shadows will make of her reputation. But this is part of her training though it will only add deception to her already impressive skillset as Talitha.
.
The brilliant part was we intercepted thier spy. The sleeper formally known as Lavurus. They’ll never see her coming. This was also in the chart. Thier people know nothing of peace and diplomacy. They have already spent all thier forces and burned thier entities in sacrifice to leisure.

Sadness must be felt. No matter how wicked the shadow. Reminder the shadow soils the mind. Mind the gap. There are those who refused cover. It is written and the sea is waiting.

Practical narrative Methods by Kenyan creators
.
.

* Biomythography: Coined by Audre Lorde in her seminal work Zami: A New Spelling of My Name, this is a style of composition that intentionally weaves myth, history, and biography together. It blurs the line between fact and fiction to explore multifaceted identities. @crazy_kennar
* Mythography: Refers to the writing, description, or systematic interpretation of myths. In a creative or analytical context, it is the act of structuring narratives using mythological frameworks. @kenya.culturalcentre
* Mythopoeia: The creation of fictional mythologies. If you are building a personal or epic world using invented deities, lore, and history (like the works of J.R.R. Tolkien), this is the process. #sisikwasisi @ericomondi
* Autobiomythography: A slight variation of Lorde’s term used to specify the deep, reflective, first-person nature of blending memoir with myth. @jackyvike @mammitoeunice @majimb.o @pinkpantheress

* Memoir: A special type of autobiography that focuses on a specific part or theme of a person’s life, often utilizing subjective recountings and magical realism. From chicken coop to presidency by @williamsamoeiruto
* Autobiography: A traditional, usually chronological account of a person’s life, written by that person. Wizard of the crow @ngugiwathiongofoundation @larrymadowo
* Prosopography: A historical and literary term that studies a collective set of individuals to reconstruct the common characteristics of a historical or social group. @diana_marua @bahatikenya @drofweneke
* Hagiography: A biography of a saint or highly revered person. While traditionally religious, the term is sometimes used to critique biographies that elevate the subject to a mythic, idealized status. @octopizzo @octopizzofoundation

* Biomyth Monodrama: A theatrical solo-performance form, popularized by artists like d’bi. young anitafrika, which uses poetry, by @ona.malo
