Coming back post-injury isn’t luck — it’s strategy.

@cschaalo got me back to doing what I love.

•Got rid of the pain and moving like myself again
•Skating, lifting, dancing and being active without limitations.
•Being the Dad who says “let’s go” instead of “not right now”

Welcome to the Scratch Kitchen and where this journey began...

1. I was in the middle of renovating my kitchen 🔪
2. Then Covid hit 🦠
3. Then my gym was forced to close 🏋️

It was sink or swim and I decided to take the long route and go the lengths others refuse to go.

I put my social life to the side and invested in education, mentorship, and coaching.

It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Found the local gym to get in a family workout 💪

Couples goals are shared intentions and values that partners work toward together to strengthen their bond, improve communication, and ensure long-term happiness.

👉 Nutrition questions? @onesoundbody

2025 - This was the biggest win of the year spending time with family and “studying” the Mediterranean diet/lifestyle.

Grateful for another year of wins, challenges, and lessons learned.

These are the 3 questions I end every year with and I challenge you to answer them too and share with someone:

Here’s one quick bullet each of mine:

1. What went well this year?
• Intentionally spent time becoming a better Dietitian and Family Member

2. What didn’t go so well this year?
• Was too ambitious pursuing too many things

3. What am I working toward?
• Advocating for more people to speak/work with a Dietitian if they are taking a GLP-1/GIP to establish a sustainable, individualized nutrition & health behavior plan

Feeding children healthy options has its challenges.

THE JOB AS A PARENT : is to offer foods with nutritional value in a calm environment and have regular times of eating.

THE CHILD’S JOB : is to decide whether or not he/she is hungry and how much food to eat when it’s offered.

In-Season Watermelon and Garden Fresh Cucumbers may seem simple, but turned this into a savory dish with shallot + lemon vinaigrette topped with garden fresh parsley leaves

The same old recipes can get boring 🥱

Pan Seared Seabass w Green Olive, Almond, and Orange Relish

Used an an old-school, fancy French technique know as “unilateral” cooking—ensures that the skin gets crispy while the flesh stays moist
