Finally ready to unveil the final portraits! These are a combination of photography, practical effects (props, set, costumes), and digital illustration done by me in procreate. I couldn’t find the backdrops I wanted for the price I wanted and the colors I needed, so I tried my hand at painting with light instead. Success! Gricelda’s portrait was inspired by the work she does and the way she allows empty pages to soar & become stories. Devising isn’t always easy though. A lot of ideas actually end up in the trash and it can be a frustrating journey. But when you finally fill the pages, you breathe new life into the world. #photography #portrait #photographers #procreate #femalephotographer by @operaticc
It’s almost time!! Only four days until I get to unveil my new gallery to the public. I got my prints in the mail and holy moly….I can’t explain how excited I am for you to see it! This is a free event but an RSVP is greatly appreciated for grant purposes so that I can do this again in the future for our amazing community. See you Saturday!!! Come for the portraits and stay for the joy and community. RSVP link in bio. This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment. #photography #portrait #loteria #texas #austin by @operaticc
I’m so excited to finally announce the amazing team and artists being featured in my new gallery, “Lotería: Rostros de Austin” 🥰📸 Each and every model was intentionally chosen by me due to their work for the greater Austin community they serve. Everyone was such a joy to work with! I can’t wait for you to see the final images, but I can’t share yet. This is a ONE NIGHT ONLY event, happening on September 26th from 7-10pm. Enjoy the gallery, talk to the artists, and play a few rounds of lotería with us! Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never heard of lotería….ESPECIALLY if you’ve never heard of it. Make sure to RSVP at the link in my bio. Let’s celebrate the beautiful parts of our culture and community…together ❤️ #photographer #austin #photography #portraitphotography #loteria This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment. by @operaticc
Costumes. Props. Tiny details. Practical effect magic! Isn’t that what art is all about? Thank you Cece and Kiryat for those beautiful, creative brains of yours ❤️ For seeing my vision and then making it even better. Come see the final photographs on September 26th from 7pm-10pm at The Museum of Human Achievement & stick around to play a few rounds of Loteria with us. RSVP link in bio! #photographer #portraitphotography #loteria #austin #latina This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment. by @operaticc
The reimagined deck is slowly coming to life and I couldn’t be prouder. Together with two INCREDIBLE designers (@operaticc and @kiryatjearim7) my vision is slowly coming to life and it’s better than I imagined (hire both of them now!) These are the first four artists joining the new gallery: “Lotería: Rostros de Austin”. Each new portrait will represent a new card created to celebrate different members of Austin’s creative community. You’ll have to come to the event to see the final portraits! Link for free admission is in bio 😄 PS. The names made out of beans was cuter in my head, but at least it’s not AI! #photography #loteria #latine #portraitphotography #austin This project is supported in part by an Austin Live Music Fund Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment. Este proyecto cuenta con el apoyo parcial de un subsidio del Fondo para Música en Vivo de Austin de la Secretaría de Arte, Cultura, Música y Entretenimiento de Austin. by @operaticc
