Thank you to all our special guests ✨💫

Thank you for this feature @PrimeResi publication released 22 Oct 26

“Behind the Schemes: Fine art meets architecture in Little Venice townhouse revival”
SHH handled the architecture, interiors and FF&E, working with art curators Alexa Harris and Orit Schreiber, whose newly formed partnership, Schreiber Harris, assembled a collection of emerging and established artists for the property.
The finished article got its first proper outing during Frieze Week, when SHH and Schreiber Harris hosted a private view for artists, collectors and figures from the architecture and design worlds.

Here’s how the project came together, in the studio’s own words,

Aliona Ione, Interior Designer at SHH: “Our aim was to bring this remarkable historic house back to life, honouring its character while shaping a home that functions effortlessly for contemporary family living. Architecture, craftsmanship, art, and a carefully curated collection of furniture come together to preserve its soul, creating calm, light-filled spaces with the canal as an ever-changing, living picture in the background.”

Artist & Curator, Alexa Harris: “We honed the art selection to pieces that felt intrinsically connected to the spirit of the home, treating each work as an extension of the architecture itself.”

Co-curator, Orit Schreiber: “The collection brings a contemporary cultural perspective to the interiors while creating a subtle dialogue with the home’s historic detailing, materiality, and connection to London’s Regent’s Canal.”

Huge gratitude to our talented creatives 🙏

My artwork: Na’aseh V’lo Nishma
Diptych, 24” x 12”
Ink and gouache on broken eggshell, 2026
When asked at Mt Sinai if B’nei Yisrael will accept the Torah, they respond by saying ‘na’aseh v’nishma’ - we will do, and we will listen - an unusual phrase, as surely listening would come before doing, but really the word ‘listen’ means to understand. We often repeat or carry out the actions of a text before we truly understand the meaning behind it.
Na’aseh V’lo Nishma deliberately subverts this phrase, transforming it into ‘we will do, and we will not listen’.
The two halves of the diptych act as a counterpoint to each other. To one side blank eggshells, the complicity of silence. Words have not been heeded, and so they leave no mark. To the other side, actions leave marks. Depicted are yellow rape flowers juxtaposed over bodies, the colour showing through where they overlap. Who is it who listens? Who does not? What is done? Do any of us understand? by @oritschreiber

A corridor shaped by light, distance, and memory. At its centre, the award-winning Wildfires of Palermo, photographed by @jimfenwick in Sicily in September 2023 during a period of devastating wildfires across the island.

At night, the sky above Palermo glowed red. The image holds a tension between beauty and threat, proximity and distance, capturing a landscape where consequence slowly unfolds.

Here the photograph becomes more than an image: a moment suspended between awe and unease. The photograph, with its palette drawn from traditional Sicilian pottery, sits close to a restored wine cellar, where original vaulted spaces have been carefully brought back to life.

We take a closer look at Nude for Jane Campion, a contemplative piece by Alexa Harris. Contrastingly inspired by classic Renaissance paintings and contemporary film, this mixed-media piece complements the heritage and character of this Grade-listed home in Little Venice and adds depth, power and personality to this space while reinforcing the dialogue between the interiors and the surrounding landscape.
